Hello Friends!! How has your week been? I am pretty excited to be invited to celebrate Pretty Pink Posh’s new product release blog hop. Hops are fun and they always have prizes for you guys and I love that 🙂 To start at the beginning of the hop go here. If you are coming from the amazing Nicole Magourik’s blog you are in the right place.
There are so many great and versatile products in this release and it was hard to decide what to use and how much time do I have to create. Lately one of my blog readers …one of you…has been hit with some pretty bad news so that was weighing heavily on me when I was creating these clouds.
I wanted to color up some pretty clouds that were dark but, had some light too and hopefully meaning would come from the clouds. Here is a shot of them in progress.
Here are the colors. When I was finished coloring I hit up the clouds with my rag and some ink blending solution. Honestly if you haven’t tried this I ask what are you waiting for lol. Just kidding 🙂
To beautify the clouds I added Rock Candy Distress Stickles to each cloud. I stamped the sentiment on a large piece of vellum to balance the darkness of the clouds. To jazz it up I added a thin strip of yellow card stock on the front and on the inside. The bow die cut was the prefect little cheerful touch for my card.
I loved that little touch with the bow on my other card I just had to give that die cut center stage. It’s always great to have a blank card on hand especially for Jennifer’s #sharinghandmadekindness campaign.
This is such a super fun stamp set I wanted to try and create something different. I am a sucker for plants and succulents that I decided to use the mug as a planter. I hope you found something today to inspire you and I am always grateful for your visit. The last stop in the hop is The Pretty Pink Posh blog here. Have a happy weekend, Kathy
Just a note…I am away on a boat and can not link any of the supplies. You can find everything at the PPP blog.
P.S. Simon Says Stamp is having another Copic sale 25% OFF using “FALLCOPIC” WOO HOO 🙂
Really pretty cards and your coloring is amazing as alway! Love the mug as a planter for the cute penguin, so clever!
the clouds came out great, I will try that rag technique!
The clouds are beautiful. Even though they are dark, I am sure they will bring cheer. I love that bow die. Those little critters are all just adorable.

Absolutely adore these card Kathy!! Super bummed the bow die is currently out of stock in the PPP store! I’m going to have to keep checking back!! Hope your having fun on the boat and partying like a rock star!!
Those clouds are beautiful! Fantastic idea to use the blending solution and a rag because it really did add even more dimension! Love it! I also love your idea of putting the tree in the mug! So cute!
Love those clouds. So beautiful.
wonderful card but especially love the “bows’ card!
Love the cards!! I am glad Pretty Pink Posh is creating stamps now! Thanks for the ideas!
Gorgeous! Love the clouds. The colors are so impactful!
Lovely cards-thank you for the great inspiration!
Your cards are beautiful, even with the dark clouds (so sparkly, they’re beautiful) Your coloring, as always, is really perfect. I am in awe of your talent. I have a rag that I use now with my copics, so very thankful to you for that tip. May you, also, have a happy weekend.
Treasure that rag and keep it handy. Blending solution and a rag does so much for creating texture. Also try other items with blending solution. 🙂
Three beautiful cards (and LOVE your amazing clouds)!!
Gorgeous cards. The clouds are especially enticing! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Have a wonderful trp. Nice of you to leave this gorgeous post for us to see…that way we don’t go through Racoosian withdrawal.
Kathy these cards are awesome!!! I love those clouds.
WOW….. Those clouds are AMAZING!!!! Love all of your cards, Kathy!
Your cards are beautiful as always Kathy. How fun you are on a boat, I’m so jealous! I did a cruise a few years ago, and rocked for a year. Not a good idea for me to be on a boat again, it could come back. While on the boat, the more it rocked, the better I felt, it was afterward it was a problem. I hope and pray that does not happen to you! Thanks for all that you do, have no idea how you have time to get it all done. I’m so excited, my Nov Hero arts kit and kindness stamps arrived in the mail yesterday, plan to use kindness stamps on the thanks cards I’m making for week 2 (plus I needed to thank some folks) and told myself no opening the Nov kit till I get that done and in the mail. Safe travels!
Love the Cloud encouragement card…wonderful take on it! All the cards were amazing and wonderful!

Your clouds look beautiful!
Oh what great cards! Thanks for sharing your creations!
Kathy,
I don’t think there is not her card maker, or even paper craft artist out there who can do color like you can! I love the combinations you come up with, things I would never think to put together, but then I see you use them and they look fantastic! I love the first card and know it will be a pick me up to whomever is lucky enough receive it. The addition of the yellow bow adds the right amount of “sunshine” to the whole thing. I also thought using the mug as a planter on the last card was genius, and the way you colored it and gave it such pattern, amazing! I think you are right about that die that makes those bows, the second card is perfect for a handmade kindness card, simple, elegant and beautiful! I am still at Mayo, going through a lot of testing and appointments. I hope to have more to tell you soon. I miss my kitty sooo much and pray I will be back home it’s home with him soon and maybe we’ll enough to create. I can’t afford t purchase from this release but I love it all, so thank you for the chance to win a gift certificate. I hope you are enjoying your boat trip and will be back soon.
Hugs,
Maureen
I hope you get home soon to your kitty. Hope all is well and sending you healing hugs. 🙂
Love the way you used the clouds Kathy. What a great way to symbolize that things will become brighter as time passes. Thanks for sharing.
Of course I always love your coloring and the projects you create. The clouds card is STUNNING! Peaceful and calm but strong and solid too. Anyone would love to be encouraged with a card like this. Thanks!
Hi Kathy! You just have a magical way about making cards! Love those clouds. I would not have thought they could have went from stripes of color to so cool! Great cards and great release! Thanks!
love your clouds!
Your clouds do have a message, as does your yellow bow…beautiful card!
Someday I am going to do clouds like this but I am going to make them rainbow colored instead of blue and that’s because I can! LOL Someday I will make the background yellow which is my favorite color instead of blue. Leave it to me to change things up but that’s what’s great about being creative. By the way, I love your clouds even if they aren’t rainbow colored. Blue is nice too. Love your other cards! I will do the blog hop tomorrow. Its late and time for bed. Catch you on the flip side.
