Hello Friends! Welcome to DAY 2 of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I am so excited to bring you a Blog Hop featuring some very talented artists and friends. I know that each designer will wow you today with their talent … that was my plan to give you all a huge hit of inspiration for Day 2. (I have so many amazing friends that are colorists and I plan to feature more of them in the future.)

Today I have my first interactive card combining three stamp companies. I wanted to feature each stamp company that is in the hop today. The background was stamped with WPlus9 “Amaryllis” stamp and watercolored with some pencils and a dove blender marker (to help blend the colors) . I am so in love with this “Loads of Fun” stamp set from Lawn Fawn. It was super fun to combine Simon’s “Stacking Animals” as a fun element in my card. The “New Beginnings” yoga girl I colored during my last challenge and I was so happy she found a home today lol.

Finding a good spot for a sentiment is always a challenge for me. Sometimes with desperation an idea is born. It’s super easy to create a pull out sentiment by cutting a slit in your base layer. Various ink was added with a rag to get a realistic texture to the towels in the laundry basket.

HELLO! I love it! I have a really hard time cleaning my craft space, because I get inspired when there’s lots of stuff out and I start seeing new ways to put things together. I thought I was an anomaly, but I think you might be this way too. My beautiful daughter-in-love is an artist, but she gets a vision for something and how she wants to do it, then collects her supplies and starts. Funny how we are all wired so different, but have so much to share. Thanks.
I try to color a few times a week because I enjoy it and I was so looking forward to the challenge. I can’t believe I got so busy yesterday that I forgot to color! I am determined to get some color fun in every day for the rest of the month. Thanks, Kathy!

Hello Kathy! I do believe you have started a movement with your 30 Day Color Challenges! It is a wonderful thing to promote stress reduction through creativity. It’s so good to get a few minutes of calm, alone time every day no matter how hectic things are. All your friends along the hop have created amazing art. They are an inspiration (ok and the projects are a tad intimidating). I would love to win the Copics class. I have several Copics but could use advice on which to buy to really start coloring with them. Sorry so long – thanks!

I was sure I had commented, but couldn’t find it, so here goes again. (After the hop!) I love your card and I love your creativity, and I love that you are as frustrated with computer ‘stuff’ as I am. I would love to share some of what I am learning, even though there are tons of people better at it than I am, but can’t make myself desire to learn how on a computer that’s been back to the manufacturer twice in less than a year. Still, there’s this element of “Look what I made!” to consider. I also heard from one of your hoppers that you are really funny! It doesn’t surprise me, and I am waiting for it to come out more in your videos! Hang in there: you have a loyal following who love you.

I haven’t really tried much coloring with Copics yet. I have all the Spectrum Noir markers, but I’m not a big fan of coloring. I do absolutely love water colors though, and I took the online watercolor for card makers class. Fabulous! I’d love to take this next watercolor class!
I just started making cards, and have been intrigued about watercolor. I saw the online classes and am a little intimidated. I think I’m just going to have to do it!

Hey Kathy! I keep forgetting to tell you that my middle sisters name is the same as yours but she spells it Kathie or I should say my mom spelled it that way on my sisters birth certificate. I didn’t know you and Jen were buds. How cool is that? Loved your card by the way. Do you know what it reminds me of? A fortune cookie! I love how you combined stamps from all those sets and made that great card and had the sentiment pop out of the washer like a fortune cookie. I’ll bet you never thought of a fortune cookie, did you? I also love all the colors and how the red pops out. I would not have thought of making it red but you did. I might just have to sign up for the Copics class even though I really can’t afford it. If I don’t sign up, I am going to think my Copics are just like every other marker I have ever had and right now I am thinking that. I want to learn to make my cards like you and my on-line friends have using Copics and making my cards not look like I just used some random markers. Hope you like the photo I posted.

Hi Kathy!! Great interactive card. They are the most fun! And people love getting them too. Loved the hop. Thanks so much! I have loved using iMovie after you shared that with me on the last 30 day. I really have a love/hate relationship with Apple and my ipad, Google/YouTube/Capture App. We were looking at newer ipads and AT&T told us we qualified for 2 new LG G Tablets running Android 10.1, for $10/mo. for 24 mos. and we were all in. I’m at a loss of what editing program I need. Any suggestions from Android users are welcome. I hope everyone is getting timet o play~

I loved the card today featuring the 3 different stamps. The dryer from Lawn Fawn I think, I’m not sure where the critters are from but they were so cute and the yoga girl from SSS. Love your challenge. It is just what I need. I have a tendency to collect stamps rather than actually stamp. That is my goal this year. To use each set that I get at least one time.

Omg!!!! Your Card is just simply amazing! You wow me every single time! I wish I could join in your challenge now but unfortanly my son-in-law was admitted into the hospital in Reno and put on a ventilator. They still don’t know what is wrong. I have been waiting to see some ideas using this stamp set…. I found a few online but WOWSERS Kath….. This card is incredible! I always have the same trouble with sentiment placement. You’re creativity is off the charts!! LOVEEEE!

Kathy, you amaze me. I started following your blog in November, hoping to participate in some of the 30 day coloring challenge. I even when to Starbucks and got two of the fall cups (I don’t drink coffee, so I’ve never been in a Starbucks). The cups are still waiting for me to color and use them. I am hoping to participate this month!!

Hello. Thanks for reminding me that you do NOT have to use just one type of media on a card. I am working on a birthday card scene and have used pencils, markers and a touch of wink of stella – but had I not seen your card, I don’t think I would have got out the pencils. Thanks so much

Wow! I never would have thought to combine those stamps but the combination makes an incredibly cute card! I definitely need to begin looking at my stamps in more creative ways. Love your coloring, too! I need to practice both watercoloring and Copic coloring.
