Hello Friends, Welcome to the 2nd day of the Hero Arts Hostess Blog Hop featuring Hero Arts fantastic 2016 release. It’s always special to hop with this talented group of women. I had fun playing around with a few of the new stamp sets to create my cards today and I was really itching to die cut these “Skylines” with some black fun foam. The backgrounds were watercolored.

I inked up this adorable bear from the stamp set called, “Holiday Animals” The star the bear is holding is from this stamp set. Super fun!

I have to ask … are you always searching for the right size circle or rectangle. If so you must check out these circles dies and the rectangle dies. I think I could pretty much guarantee you will never find a value like this. $24.99 for eighteen dies & the rectangle ones have sixteen!!!

This is the “before ….. a little copic blending before …

before I add my rag technique with this solution. For a little extra dimension I stamped, cut and colored extra scarves to pop the bears. I curled up the ends for even better results.

    Both wonderful cards. With a little bit of trimming and cutting on the city skyline this would look like Stonehenge especially with those sky colours and the sun, it reminds me of the equinox celebration. Love them. Creative Blessings, Tracy x

      Practice and find the right rag texture. An old towel should work. Remember to fluff up the fibers. 🙂

    I can see the viral headline now: “(insert name of big city here) has bear sitings. Residents in a panic!” The bears look like they’ve come in peace, however. 😉 I really like the blue & green sky, and the pouncing always gives just the perfect touch to adding texture.

    Such sweet cards, Kathy. Love the different backgrounds. As for the nesting dies, I bought several nesting sets by Lifestyle Crafts several years ago. I believe the circle set has 21 dies and the price is similar to the HA set, although I believe I purchased them at an even lower price.
