Hello friends and my dear color enthusiasts,
What do March 4, 2015 and March 1, 2017 have in common? They are both Day One of the 30 Day Coloring Challenges…. I can’t believe the challenge is two days away!!! This is the 7th 30 Day Coloring Challenge. If you started from the beginning you have completed six 30 Day coloring challenges. Big applause and hugs to you.
Your enthusiasm and creative energy encouraged me to do it again. If you are new to the 30 Day Coloring Challenges a very warm welcome to you and so happy you are here. Everyone is invited to be part of the fun whenever you can find time for you. No guilt, pressure, calories or stress comes with this challenge. You are guaranteed inspiration, Zen moments, doing something you love to do and having the support of our worldwide community of positive feedback. All you need you do is find time for you.
If you are not the reading type here is the link to the video. Don’t forget about the private FACEBOOK PAGE where you can share your coloring. I asked and listened & I am happy to say that it will be a closed group so you will feel comfortable sharing in the FB group. Keep in mind I am not super active but, we will have a presence there and the focus is community not me sharing.
THE GOAL of the challenge is: To color something daily even if it’s a few minutes but, certainly not required. (I know that I am happier when I am coloring even if it’s for 10 minutes.) Hopefully together along the way we will all stretch our creativity a little bit more. BASICALLY it’s anything goes challenge and whatever you feel inspired to do. Any medium of your choice including “coloring” with ink. Some days you will have more time than others but, it’s just about adding more time to color and carve out a little time for you.
CAN ANYONE PARTICIPATE IN MY 30 DAY CHALLENGE? Wow that would be awesome if you want to participate & feel free to jump in at any time during the challenge! Everyone is welcome! Feel free to include your children and grandchildren. I will be highlighted the children’s creations separately on my Sunday “It’s All About You” Feature on my blog. If you miss a few days don’t feel like you have to catch up. We all know life can get in the way.
What’s NEW: You commented and I saw there was a need to include more of you who prefer to post on Facebook. There is a wonderful community on Instagram and I didn’t want someone anyone to miss out. Let’s get a community going on Facebook … click here to join the group.
ALSO I have some “Goodwill Ambassadors” to help me with leave love on your work (on Instagram we get about 600 entries a day). I am grateful for this awesome group of people …. in the video you can hear more about why them etc. The growth of the Coloring Challenge has been good and I realized I can’t do it all. You all are so sweet to worry about me not to be overloaded .. your comments and emails are so appreciated.
The Goodwill Ambassadors are: Erica, Barbara, Michelle, Elaine, Debra, Maggie, Alba, Laura & Maria. If you are on Instagram most of you already might now this lovely and generous group. As I mentioned before I always worry about hurt feelings especially because the coloring community has grown because of so many of you. For the NEXT challenge I will be picking different Ambassadors to help me out. Please know I am grateful for you all.
See you in TWO DAYS!! If you have NOT done one thing to prepare do NOT worry because I haven’t either … seriously not one thing!!
Feel free to use the logo or grab this one. Thanks again for making this community such a great one. Hugs, Kathy

It would be great if people could leave information about what stamp set they’ve used,or at least the company it came from. Just a thought and a way to support our great companies. I often see great coloring and would love to buy the stamp, but there’s no information. 🙁
thanks for considering!
Kathy Racoosin says
Thank you for your suggestion and I will try and get a reminder out in my day one post. Many do but, like you noticed many don’t. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂

Yay, looking forward to another challenge, Kathy! February was a crazy month for me, although I did create quite a few cards, esp. for the Winnie & Walter challenges, but I’m hoping March will be more quite and allow me to focus on colouring.
BTW, I posted the W&W sunflower card on my blog. You are welcome to pop over to have a quick look if you can spare the time. I can imagine you have a busy schedule ahead of you with the upcoming challenge.

I was so excited when I watched your video yesterday about another 30 Day Challenge! I have wanted to join in so badly and now that I have some relief with my pain I’m really gonna try my hardest to do some coloring! Some days are better then others so I’m praying that these next 30 days will give me that chance. I was able to pick up some more Copics to add to my collection which makes me very happy!

The coloring challenge is here again, the coloring challenge is here again! I am so excited! I learn so many new things when I start and finish the challenge and I can’t believe it’s here again. It seemed like it would be so long before it started up again and now it’s here. You should see the card I am creating right now. It’s so colorful! I showed it to my dad. It’s not finished yet but I showed him anyway. I said “Isn’t it pretty?” He said “No it’s not pretty, it’s beautiful!” Isn’t that what dad’s are supposed to say? LOL It really made me smile and made me feel so good. Considering that he’s been out of the nursing home for 2 weeks, for him to say that with how he feels, that is the best thing he could have said to me. When I finish it, I will post.
I am in love, love, love with those glitter pens! I want tons of them! They are so pretty although one of my pens has no glitter in it. I have to tell SS stamps because I bought it from them. Tomorrow my mom goes to the chiropractor and I get to color for about 40 min. Do you know that people will talk to me and want to see my coloring book and then they tell me how much they love what I did? Its like coloring is so cool, which we know that it is, right?
Okay, I am going to shut up now and let other people comment. Thank you for all that you do for all of us with you’re coloring challenge. Today is a good day because of the coloring challenge and what my dad said to me. I am very happy!
Kristi says
Just found this challenge today and count me in! I’m a card maker and sometimes I get so caught up making samples for classes that I teach, that I forget to make time to craft for me,

Hello, wow, fantastic start to the challange and blog hop. This is definately on my daily todo list. Thanks
Renee says
Was directed to the site through Jennifer McGuire’s blog. When I sat down this morning I had a cuddly dog at my side and a fully charged iPad. As I type my dog is begging for attention and my iPad is warning me that it will shut down if I don’t plug it in to charge. (apparently 6% battery is a bad thing). 😉
Thank you for a wonderful day of inspiration. Cheers!
Barbara Green says
I have been through the entire blog hope and have learned a lot. I have been water coloring and colored pencil coloring for quite a while. It is good to learn new ways to color when you go through a blog hop. I love the idea of taking small things with you to color. I am trying to do a little coloring every day. Thank you for the challenge it give all of us a little more incentive.
Linda S. says
Hello, Kathy. Great videos. You make coloring look so easy.
Ellen Bornstein says
First of all I would like to thank you for creating this coloring challenge. It has enabled so many people to ignite or reignite their artsy side and to just enjoy coloring. Personally, I enjoy the sense of community and support from everyone who participates. I really look forward to it for when I am struggling with creative ideas and this helps get me back my creative mojo. The prizes are great but the benefit to everyone is to have a welcoming forum to color, chat and be a part of something fun. Many, many hugs and thanks Kathy!!!
Gail Carlton says
I would love to get the color markers. It would make the cards look beautiful. It is fun and relaxing to make to own cards.

Hi Kathy,

Annette Reed says
I’m going to try to finish an adult coloring page that I started a while back and then never finished. Maybe this will inspire me to get it done. It won’t be fancy but it will be coloring.
Barbara Rademacher says
I am very excited about the 30-day coloring challenge. I have just finished my first project, I suppose it might be MY Day-1 challenge. I stamped the flower wrap from Hero Arts gorgeous Valentine’s kit, and I colored 5 of them with pigment inks using 5 Fantastix. Painting with pigment ink is addictive. I could see myself never doing anything else.
