It’s so exciting when you are waiting for the new stamps to be released and when you hear they are available for purchase. This gal called “LA SOIREE” is one of the many that I am in love with.
This card is where I discovered how much little bits of vellum can be a really good thing. I stamped the paisley background on some vellum and embossesd with white powder. I flipped the vellum over and stamped it again with the ballons and the shopping bag. You can find a better description of the technique here.
The new Mix and Match papers from Penny Black were used for this card. I really love working with the vibrant colors and they really are easy to “mix & match” them. You can buy them here . I will be back Monday so stay tuned. Will you be watching the Oscars? I know I will…enjoy! Kathy
I thought I would share SOME of my favorites. I really get such joy working with these stamps!

I love those coloured balloons & the variety of interest on your card, I just sat looking. The scene you created is delightful & I love seeing your selection of favourites – I have to say that the variety of styles possible with PB stamps seems endless & I love their versatility. Backgrounds, modern & sketchy, classic flowers & cute…… It’s great seeing you use such a mixture of the items too – a real variety of eye candy.

Love the card and the tip about stamping on the back of an embossed vellum!!! Genius! And those new Penny Black stamps really rock!
She is beautiful Kathy! Everything you’ve done with vellum is so pretty. I have all those “long legs” on order. Can’t wait for my order to come in!
We have almost all the same favorites!!!
Me again.. I wanted to ask: Did you cut her completely out? All around, between the balloons strings etc??? That is a lot of detailed cutting!
I’m curious…

Such style…what a wonderful card. I love the way you coloured her dress…I would have just been boring and done one colour.

Awesome card Kathy! I know I can’t wait to get my new PB stamps inky!
I must admit that I start to love Penny Black stamps and one of the reason I started to love them is that your works has its effect on me! I been wondering to their blog when I have time now! I also downloaded the catalog and listed few of my wishlist stamps but due to budget, I have to save up before purchasing any! *Sigh*
