Hello Friends, Today I thought that I would share a quick close up of the Penny Black catalog in case have only seen this on line. This is the cover that I created for Penny Black’s last catalog. Pretty exciting for me!!
It really looks different without the title etc. I loaded the cover up with lots of different stamps. (I’ll link them at the bottom of this post.)
Do you recognize the “City Scape” stamp? I blew it up super big and then stamped all over it. This cover card measures 8.5 x 11.
If you know of any brides this spring or summer some of these stamps makes the perfect wedding themed card.
Are you one of those shoe people?? Can you tell what brand of designer shoes on the right I colored?
Isn’t this pooch the sweetest little thing??
In this photo you really can see the background stamps on the building and grass.
If you draw fine lines with a micro marker (listed in supplies) you can really add some design and texture to your images as I did on the blazer. The wedding dress is two layers of vellum. I used this technique.
I hope your week is off to a good start and thank you for stopping by. Hugs,Kathy

What a fantastic card/cover! You should be so proud because it is amazing. I never would have thought to stamp and then enlarge the image to make a background, Thanks for the tip! I love the texture you added by stamping the grass and the buildings. You are giving me all sorts of ideas now! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great job!

Kathy, Penny Black chose the perfect artist for the cover of the catalog! It is gorgeous and I love the many techniques you used. The bride-WOW-is splendid and the use of vellum for the skirt was brilliant – fantastic inspiration for the wedding card I am about to make for a friend’s daughter.
Congratulations – a feather for your cap!

Kathy I love the way you used the DP to give great dimension to the buldings. It really creates the scene. And the ladies darlin’ are just fabulous! One terrific creation! Hugs to you.

The green background stamping for the grass is a super idea & I love how you have used those doves from the cake stamp as flying doves in the sky around that building. The scene setting here is absolutely tremendous & just delightful – I can almost feel the story beginning to unfold from the scene……..
