Hello Friends, I feel like it has been forever since I have posted. I did try but, blogger got in the way a few times. I’m glad all things are fixed.
I fussed with this card a lot to get it right. Heidi from Simon Says Stamp just had a baby girl!! Heidi is the sweetest, happiest person and I adore her. I was lucky enough to meet her and her adorable hubby at CHA. Check out the baby photos and the challenge too at Simon Says Stamp challenge blog.
I have been wanting to use this stamp for a long time so thanks to Heidi I put it to good use.
This frame is one of Spellbinders new dies and I LOVE it. At first I was going to use it in white then, I felt it needed some color so out came the Copic markers. I listed them below this post if you are wondering what colors I used.
I created the “wallpaper” with the duck in the stamp set. Stamped it repeatedly with Worn Lipstick distress ink. Take a peak behind the flowers..you can barely see what I used because it’s CLEAR! I just purchased more of these Scrap Dots. LOVE them and save them for special cards. It’s also so much faster than foam dots or squares.
I went over my Copic coloring with a few colored pencils to add a little texture to the image.
For the eyes I used Enamel Accents and for the center of the flowers. I hope Ranger comes out with more colors. I use them all the time. Off to pick up my son at the airport he’s coming home from college. Soooooo excited to see him. Happy weekend! Hugs, Kathy
