Tim Holtz new die …. love it

Hello Friends, How are things going? Did you have a nice weekend?
When I saw this new “Bigz Die” from Tim Holtz Alterations by Sizzix I knew I had to have it. Below you will see 17 reasons why. First, how about the card?

Just for You
I stamped my all purpose,  favorite background from Penny Black on the die & colored it with Copic markers. I added Glossy Accents to the wood and finished it off with an antique pin and button. The white trim on the card is from my doily stash. The sentiment is an SRM sticker.

Just for You

Now you will see why I had to have this die. These were created for centerpieces on the tables at my daughters Bat Mitzvah. In total there were 17 dress forms. The front & the backs were “painted” so that makes 34 designs. To this day I can’t believe that I did this with some of my daughters help.

We sold each one at the party and donated the money to a local shelter. Each image was designed from mostly logos, printed on a transparency then blown up on a projector.

Every one has some glitter on each side to add that shimmer. EACH one was drawn by hand by me. I used Sharpie markers to color the designs.

Here are a few favorites. This pattern was on one of my daughters Lily Pulitzer dress.

This idea was inspired from a picture  hanging on the wall in the Betsey Johnson store.

This was designed from a Tory Burch shoe box. All of the blue is glitter. You should see how many colors of glitter I own!

Thanks for letting me share. Have a great week 🙂 Hugs, Kathy

Absolutely terrific all round, what a fantastic way to celebrate such a milestone – by giving. I think it was St Francis who said “it is in giving that we receive” & I often think how true that is. The work you put into that was phenomenol.
With best wishes to you as a family & to your daughter.

    Kathy,

Your dressform card is beautiful and the colored design is gorgeous! The pin and button are just the right accents too.

The dressform centerpieces are breath-taking and the generosity of selling them for charity is a beautiful gesture and a valuable lesson for the young folks. The amount of work that you put into them definitely shows and you should be very proud, they are all phenomenal!! I really admire your creativity and the work involved in your creations.
