Spot Coloring with Penny Black

IMG_5329
Hello Friends, One of Penny Black’s new designers (Kelley Eubanks) loves to do spot coloring. This week on the Penny Black Blog spot coloring is the feature and I am thrilled to participate on the PB blog today. I am sharing two cards because each week I will bring you a more simple version of my card.

I love this sweet image called “Kisses” and I feel like “spot coloring” really brings out the charms of this sweet girl. All of the flowers on the card were die cut from Spellbinder’s GRAND Flowers and the boarder too. The sentiment is from SRM stickers. The tiny butterfly’s are my favorite butterfly punch…they are from Martha Stewart.
Especially For You
This card was super quick and super fun. Copic colors are:

RV10, R32, E35, E50.

I just had to add some dots and lines to the dress. See the trim on the dress edges and I embellished with a Copic 0.03 multiliner. I added “stars” to the dots that were on the dress (really little lines that are super easy with the right marker). Instead of Christmas cards I am sending out Valentine cards so I will eventually be doing a video on coloring this image. Also if you sent me a card I will be sending you one in Feb.
I hope you had a chance to check out  my post below….

a year in review and a request for your feedback.
I hope your year has started off in a good way & THANK You fo your visit! Hugs, Kathy

P.S. I think I need to take a class on white balance photography. The sweet image looks so much softer in person and not as yellow as it appears in these photos.

Using the FREE Adobe Photoshop.com Mobile App for iPhone you can fix most of the yellow cast by lowering the saturation of the shot. Grab it here from the app store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photoshop-com-mobile/id331975235?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

    The care is way cute.
