Simon Says Stamp's Card Kit
Hello Friends, I am trying hard to get back to my regularly scheduled posts….rather more regular than what I have been posting recently due to the beginnings of packing etc.
Today I am excited to share you this yummy card kit from Simon Says Stamp. 
If you have any questions click here. I have to say it was so much fun to get this in the mail and  easy to create having everything already selected for me. Takes the work out of it. If time permitted I could have kept on creating cards. I found a spare binder and I put all of my card kit goodies into a plastic sleeve for a rainy day (except the great spool of twine). This way everything stays together and I can whip up some cards later.

This was the first one out of the gate …a Birthday card for my step brothers Birthday.  I extended the post on the flag and added some enamel accents to the dots on the grass and used this Spellbinder die.

I love the dimension you get from the enamel accents. The distress ink added a masculine touch to the ribbon.

I stamped onto the patterned paper with this blue ink . I cut a few petals off of one flower so that  they weren’t all the same size. Added a few pearls from my stash.

    Those clouds & stripes are a real treat in the first & I love all the little details – I’ve recently got hold of the enamel accents but not had a chance to use them yet. I’m totally intrigued by the second one: the way that the doily spots flow & somehow & the way those pearls are randomly placed yet not!
    The white faux stitching on both is just a lovely finish & I particulalry like the way those banners extend off the card.
    Take care with the packing (you’ll probably tire of me saying it but I know what an upheaval it is).

    Fabulous cards using the kit! I LOVE the clouds on the bicycle card (and the sentiment especially). What a clever idea to bundle up the extra card parts for a rainy day. I’m definitely giving that a try (I’ve got a huge UFO-unfinished objects pile). THANKS for the opportunity to win a kit too.

    Wow! Just Amazing!!! I love both these cards. The detail on the journey card is awesome–love the little brads on the bicycle wheels and the paper piecing; and the blue stamps on the patterned paper are stunning. Love those flowers, and thanks for the tip about cutting some of the petals off. Great idea. Have a fun weekend!
