Hello Friends, I am so excited to bring you another opportunity to win one of Simon Says Stamp’s awesome Card Kits! All you need to do is leave a comment on my post and Monday I will select a random winner THE WINNER HAS BEEN randomly chosen. See this post here. (please note you must be a follower of my blog or subscribe to it). The kit is chock full of yummy goodies & I struggled what I should use first on the three cards created with the kit. Click here to see the full kit and here if you would like to suscribe. If you have questions about the kits etc. click here. (If you win you will get a refund for the April card kit.) A big thanks to Heidi for letting you, my friends have this chance to win. Before you go I have a mini tutorial on how I created the “tapestry” background. |
Spellbinder die cuts are one of my favorite ways to create a window especially with this particular one. The handle was cut off of the umbrella to turn it into a beach umbrella. The background was stamped with the kits stamp. I used the same stamp for the masculine card (above) except I cut it out to resemble an arrow. |
Deciding which papers to use was difficult so I decided to stamp the umbrella’s multiple times. |
I cut the umbrella’s apart, distressed them and glued them on my card base. (after gluing I decided to re-design my card so I cut the umbrellas out.) |
To create a tapestry background cut three sheets of paper at the same time . Cut them at a slant in varying widths. Be sure to keep the papers stacked in order so they will fit together perfectly. |
Separate your paper and add distress ink on the edges. I used this… my favorite brown. |
