Hello Friends, How are you today? I am super excited & honored to be participating in “The Simon Says Stamp Gratitude Blog Hop AND Charity Donation”. To start at the beginning of the hop go to Simon’s blog here. If you are arriving from the lovely & creative Sarah Moerman’s blog you are in the right place. During this season of giving thanks I can’t think of a better way to share a few of the things that I am grateful for besides health, family, friends and all that. Well frankly I am grateful for all of you that frequent my blog. I am also thankful for the internet which connects us all in this wonderful way around the world. Such a great way to share, blog, be inspired, pin, shop etc. I look forward to hearing what you are grateful for 🙂 Last year I made these place cards for Thanksgiving and this year I wanted to make some REUSABLE place cards. |
Reusable place cards appealed to me so I set out to design some. With an acetate strip you can remove the names and use year after year. Switch up the colors and make some for Christmas or the New Year. Just hand write in each name after the “thankful for you” as you see in the place card laying down. |
Stamp and emboss this sticky back canvas with clear or white embossing powder using the Hero Arts stamp called “Lotus Background”. |
Use Tea Dye stain on your embossed canvas. Watch it come to life. |

Add some Walnut Distress ink directly on top…. pad to paper/ canvas. |
![]() |
Spray with Perfect Pearls. Love the shine and set aside to dry. |
![]() |
Trace with a pencil the outside of this die from Spellbinders from some white card stock. This will give you the a nice white edge. Adhere the canvas onto the traced card stock. |

Stamp your sentiment on a white strip of paper. Cut some acetate the same size to layer on top of the white strip. Add a tiny dot of Glossy Accents to adhere the acetate. Place a gem on top so you won’t see it. Using acetate allows you to re- use your place cards each year. Use a Copic marker to write the names in and after Thanksgiving remove the names with this. |
Simons Says Stamp will be giving away a $50.00 donation (to the charity of a commenter’s choice) from EACH BLOG IN THE HOP! Just leave a comment with what you are most grateful for & you will be entered in the drawing. After the winner is randomly selected Simon Says Stamp will be in touch with you to find out the charity you have chosen. Winners will be drawn on Wed, 11/28.

What a great idea! I’m most thankful for my parents still going strong and on their own as they approach 90. Thanks for the chance to direct the Simon donation.
I am most thankful for the patience & resolve my husband has shown this last year. Earlier in the year he experienced a work related injury, injuring his back. Surgery was unsuccessful and he has suffered daily ever since. Still, he doesn’t let it get to him. He takes it all in stride, hoping & praying for pain free days. Not sure I could be as strong as him with all that he’s been through. I’m thankful for my strong man.
A few weeks ago there were big floods in our country and many people lost everything they had, so in that moments you learn to cherish every little thing you have, because you know there are so many in need out there. So I’m thankful for everyone that helped those who were affected by the disasters, it gave me hope that we can still find unity in these hard times.

I just love the remarkable detail on these! Thanks for the tutorial on how you did the background!
The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
