Hello Friends, How was your weekend? I hope it was full of sunshine 🙂
Today Simon Says Stamp is debuting their NEW June Card Kit 2013. I think you will love it as much as I do.
Like I always say…. the value is incredible and I only say it because it’s the truth. I had so much fun creating paper with the stamp set in the kit for my two Father’s Day Cards.
The Hero Arts Charcoal ink was the perfect masculine color to stamp my background with and on trend too. I created a window with this die cut that’s incredibly versatile. Here is another card I created with that same die.
I used some 40lb vellum over the die so the “window” would stand out more in a way.
I distressed with with Gathered Twigs after stamping on the paper from BasicGrey called Hipster.
Just a snap shot of the vellum and the paper I created with this stamp set in the kit BEFORE I distressed it.
The wood tags really popped when I added distress ink to them as well. Easy and fun!
I stuck the sticker letters to the card stock in the card kit. Cut them out and added Glossy Accents. I used a this tool to hold them down while adding the glossy accents.
The second card is for my awesome step dad… better known as a “bonus dad”. I wish you could see how the letters pop with the glossy accents but, I am sure you can visualize. Thanks so much for your visit and hope to see you soon. Hugs, Kathy

Absolutely love the colors and those rolled corners!
I absolutely LOVE this card here KAthy. Already saw it on SSS´s blog earlier today, and fell totally in love with it. Just perfect here for fathers Day soon, so I really really hope, they´ll be a bit quicker to get them out this month, so I can get it in time LOL.

Gorgeous, as usual. 🙂
Great cards! I´m always surprised on how you use this die in so many ways. Real male colours. Think they will like your cards! Hugs, Gerrina
The vellum window looks fab!
These are great and they’ve inspired me to make my own text background paper…a great idea for a masculine card!

Love all the cool stuff you’ve used to create these wonderful masculine cards, Kathy! That kit is really full of great goodies.
I saw these cards featured along with the pictures of the kit over at SSS. I immediately ordered the kit- something I haven’t done before. Now I find out they were your cards… figures. 🙂 Wonderful job!
Great cards!! Love the two looks, and what a cool design with the vellum. Nice to see you on the Simon Says Stamp blog. Thanks for sharing.

Fabulous cards, Kathy! Especially love the tiny curled corner – amazing how one little detail can add such character to a card. Awesome!
