Hello Friends, I just wanted to thank you for all of your positive feedback for my new home at TheDailyMarker.com. If you subscribe to my posts PLEASE READ ON:

Are you you are wondering where are the photos in the email updates disappeared to….so am I lol.  Please hang tight while we work out a few kinks.

IN the meantime can you weigh in on one thing. I will give a goodie bag to one person from the comment area next Tuesday.     I stand firmly on the side of full post…..I hate having to go back and forth between the internet screen/email when I am reading on my phone…..easier just to keep scrolling down.

    Not sure if my opinion on this applies since I read your content via Feedly but for what it’s worth, I would prefer to see the whole post in the Feedly listing, rather than read only some of it and have to “jump”. Even on posts that I love, that extra bit of effort is annoying and ultimately, I view those blogs less because of the effort needed.

    I started to say “half post” is fine because I visit your Blog every day via RSS feed anyway; however in thinking about it, full post would be better when I need to see the whole thing on my phone or Kindle.

    well, this is a funny one to me, I love to see the full post – but then I always end up bouncing over to your blog to leave you a comment since I am always stunned and amazed at what you do and need to tell you how wonderful you are … so I guess in the long run, it does not matter to me – I end up here anyway!

    I read your posts via bloglovin’, but I think it’s better to send only the beginning of the post, so people will actually click and visit your blog so they will be able to leave a comment and that way, you’ll have more hits (entry) to your blog.

    I’m actually okay with either full or partial post. I don’t mind coming to your blog to read the full post, because sometimes I like to page down and look at older posts again, too. You have so many good ones!

    When I get your post in my e-mail, I always click on the title and switch over to your blog because most of the time I leave a comment and I can’t do that from the e-mail site. But, I can see how those who use their phone or other techie thing would prefer the full post. Either way, I have been following you for a long time now and don’t want to miss any of your gorgeous creations and fab tips!!

    I follow on Bloglovin and I really dislike the “half” posts where I have to click again to read the content. also the half posts do not show the picture in the Bloglovin list which is another argument against it… so please, full post! I think that regardless of how we read the content via email or reader it makes more sense to get the full post. There may be a good reason why bloggers switched to a half post though, curious to know it.

    I get your updates via my RSS app “Reeder” on iOS and on the Mac. I personally prefer the entire post to be visible, simply because it makes it easier for me to consume. But I understand that this lowers the page-hits you get, so if these are important to you (for sponsors, etc) I get it if you don’t share the entire post.

    For what it’s worth: if I see an article that I find interesting and need to revisit (because I like a photo or I want to try a technique), I usually mark it unread in Reeder, then go back to it when I have more time and actually open it in a browser. That allows me to easily pin an image or watch a video if one is included for instructions. So, for tutorials etc. I usually always go to actual website, eventually, because it’s more comfortable to consume the content there.

    Thanks, by the way, for your great tutorials and website. I really enjoy reading your articles!

    I definitely prefer the Full Post option. I know it’s nice to get people to come to your blog, but most of us do anyway! 🙂 It’s really nice to see the whole thing when I’m on my phone.

      Hi Laura, I emailed you the answer to your jel pen question but, the email bounced back. I will add it here just in case.

      I have found that the jelly roll ones don’t work quite as well but,
      this is what i do for all of my white pens… i have both but, mainly use the signo one.

      i always always hold it up right and put the tip on my finger…. i will keep it there moving it slightly until the ink is flowing…moving the tip in circles

      it’s best to hold the pens somewhat upright when writing… using them very slowly to give the ink time to flo evenly.

      let me know if you have any luck if not i would suggest calling the manufacture and see if they will give you a refund.

    I’m in favor of the full post, easier for me than hopping back and forth. Then if there’s a video or more I want to see I’m happy to then go to the blog.

    I prefer the full post because I read on my tablet and sometimes don’t have a full internet connection to go look at a website. But my emails are downloaded to my tablet, so I can read them there without the connection.

    I think I’m in the minority, but I like the half posts because it reminds me to visit the blog (so that I can read the rest and see what’s new) There are so many things out there these days, it’s nice to have a little reminder of my favorites so I don’t get too far behind. 🙂

    I was thinking partial post, because I ALWAYS have to come & see all the details of everything you’ve done! A partial post is like BAIT! LOL Especially, if you want people to comment, they HAVE TO come to your blog! 🙂

    I usually go to your blog from the email, so half a post is fine for me. I guess if I were using my phone, I would prefer the whole post. How’s that for a wishy-washy vote!!

    Full post please, definitely. The half post requires us to open another browser and then depending on the machine sometimes it would slow things down…

    full post seems to be overwhelming!…I usually jump to the blog right away anyway so its easier to comment, so it doesn’t matter much to me, but I’m sitting at my computer, not getting it on my phone or other device.

    I don’t really care one way or the other …. but if the full post is in the email I’m much less likely to comment or visit the blog. I don’t at all mind clicking through from an email to continue reading. Guess I’m the odd one out on this 😉

    Actually I think I’m in the minority but I think I’d prefer a half post… it gives enough of a taster to want to read more and then you need to click into the link to go to the blog and read the rest. If I’m not on the blog, then I’m less likely to post a comment which seems unfair to you, who takes the time to write the post. Hope that helps! Celine

    I think to comment you need to actually go to the post itself–so I think half post is ok too. I end up going to the website anyway to post, especially if there is a giveaway or an opinion asked.

    Plus, I totally understand about new blogs or pretty much changing to anything new….I recently bought my first iPhone and I LOVE it, of course, but lost a lot of my “contacts” somehow and that is my “to be fixed” thing at the moment.     Well I don’t use my phone for much so my idea of partial is kind of mute considering most do use their phones… I would have to stand by the majority of what is wanted. That being said, I am new to your site, and love all that you do and share. TY

    I follow you thru feedly but just to weight in there are some posts I get from other sties that are not full and sometimes I click through to the entire post and sometimes I don’t. I like to see the entire post.

    I prefer the full post. If I’m pressed for time – and who isn’t? – I’m more likely to read the post if it’s all in the email. If it’s not I will usually keep going through email with the best of intentions to come back and check the post when I have time, but I don’t always get around to it.

I would prefer if I could see the full post on the blog though and not have to keep middle clicking the more info link… And I may start viewing via feedly…I need to find a more efficient way to look at all of my favorite blogs.     I go along with the majority vote and for the same reasons. I read a lot of blogs to get inspiration (or maybe just to waste time, ahem) but the extra clicking does mean that when I run out of time and energy I delete the double click ones and I’d hate to miss out on yours.     It really doesn’t matter to me. If I see a half post, and really interested in the content, I will leave a comment, and to do that I would need to go to your site to do that anyway. The full post would be a plus, but again, to leave a comment I would still need to go directly to your site.

    To be honest I quite like getting the full post. Makes it easier for me to go thru all my blog update emails to see what everyone is up to and save the ones I really want to concentrate on later in the day. I only receive one blog post email that gives you the first few lines of the post and honestly if I can’t see anything relevant in those few words, I won’t bother to go to the blog.

    Hi Kathy!! I have been following you for a long time. I can go either way. I do not mind to click over to your blog for the second half of the post. I LOVE getting my subscriptions in my email box, because I don’t have to go looking for content, it’s delivered right to me and I can read it when I catch a minute here and there. If I’m going to comment, I have to click over anyway. For some, it might depend on how things show up on their mobile things? I view my content on ipad, but I know a lot of the younger crafters view from a phone. Food for thought. So maybe less is more as long as your blog is phone friendly for viewing too. I’m getting too old for some of the techie stuff, but I just noticed something on my blog that I could click to make it more ios or mobile friendly for viewing. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, my sweet blog friend. xo

When I receive a blog post email that has only a partial post, I rarely will click on it go to to the website to read the entire thing, especially when my mailbox is full. Another thing that is nice is when the blog title comes through as the sender, rather than just part of the post. Thanks for asking. It’s a wonderful blog.
