Hello Everyone, A big warm welcome to you!! Today Mama Elephant is celebrating Two years in business…how cool is that! There are three days of hopping and giveaways to celebrate this milestone. Today is DAY TWO of their three day hop so click here to start at the beginning at the hop. Below is a video for you to show how I created my ornament card.
(click HERE to watch THE VIDEO MORE CLEARLY IN HD )
I hope you enjoyed the video and…. if you did …. a thumbs up is always welcome and or a thumbs down if you didn’t 🙂
The NEW stamp set called, “Alpine Carolers” is exceptionally delightful and super easy to color plus…. they have the matching die cuts too. The embossed background gives the removable ornament some stand out texture and adds interest to the card. A peep of green on the inside is always a fun surprise of color.
I colored her legs a flesh tone and drew some fishnet tights on her. Wink of Stella was added as accents on the skirt, hat and his scarf. Glossy Accents were added to the shoes and boots.
The background was distressed then sprayed with Hero Arts white ink….love!! I die cut another ornament from a heavy weight vellum and sprayed that with the white ink. The buildings are from the “Central Park” stamp set & they were stamped with Sparrow Ink. The large ornament die cut is from Spellbinders and I love it cause it’s nice and large.

This is such a fantastic card!! I love that the ornament is removable so it can be displayed on the tree! I NEED all of the goodies to make some of the ornaments!! You did a fantastic job coloring the carolers and the double snow is awesome!! Just a tip, when inking vellum I will use eye shadow in the same color as the ink and I just sprinkle it on and shake the excess off. That way the ink color still comes through but it dries and won’t wipe off.
Thanks for the great video and I love your card!!
