Hello Friends, How has your week been going? Thanks for all of your sweet comments yesterday!! I am happy to report that I am feeling much better! Purple Onion has some really cool background stamps and I fell in love with this one on both of my cards. I wanted green grass for color and added Hero Arts white spay to give me that first snow fall on my card. Simon Says Stamps “Seasons Greetings” was the perfect size sentiment/die cut for my moon.
Love the pond or lake in the middle but, I didn’t stamp it so well. No problem… I decided to cut the grassy hills out and use vellum for a icy pond. I put a half moon under the vellum for the reflection of the moon.
To get lots of texture quickly I colored and blotted with a nubby rag with “Various Ink” it really removes some of the color. Often I will heat set to move on quickly.
I fussy cut my images and added some hearts and repositioned the huggable rabbit.
I cut out several hearts plus I cut out an extra arm and put it all together.
I wanted to make a mini bonus card with that background and the BIRD!! I love birds!!! For this snowy scene I added a layer of snow …a few inches only and then more of the white spray.

Wow…these cards are so inspiring…again!! Love your coloring and the little birdie!! I recently purchased some skating penguins, a die & stamp set, so I will need to buy the two background stamps from Purple Onion for them to be skating in!! lol
