HELLO Friends!! How are you today? Happy weekend to you 🙂 I actually had a little bit of time to sit down and watch some of the videos in the OnLine Card Class Clean & Simple 4. You guessed it …. I was inspired and created these two cards with supplies I had on hand. It’s not to late to take the class and the best part is you have life time access so if you are slow like me it’s a win win PLUS the value can’t be beat!
I threw these two cards together in no time. I literally just randomly placed this double sided tape on some white cardstock, distressed it, removed the tape and added glitter. (this skinny double side tape would work even better using both tapes together…it’s on my list)
Die cutting the “Large Hello” took the longest and it was time well spent. I decided to use the “negative” part of the hello after I die cut it for my second card. The distress inks I used were, picked raspberry, mustard seed & spiced marmalade. I was lucky to have the matching picked raspberry glitter on hand 🙂
To get the fun wavy line I used the “Stitched Slopes” The line was broken up by the hello… I didn’t remove the white cardstock from the large loop of the “h” not sure if that was a good call or not lol.
What have you been up to? I am preparing for a 30 day challenge. Any chance you might guess what it could be? Have a great weekend and know that I am grateful for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

I’m the slow one – still haven’t done any homework for the class but am loving the inspiration! I have that glitter toooo! I had a hard time getting it to stick so I’ll try double-sided tape 🙂 Your cards are so bright and fun. Does this mean you’ll be making 30 cards for the next 30 days??!?! 😛 that’s a lot of work! Let’s see what it’s about 🙂 Have a great Sunday xoxo

Love your take on Jen’s technique. Adding the glitter is such a fun idea. Your project may be just the incentive I need to use some of the glitter I bought a while ago from a bargain shop in Heraklion. They came in packages of different shades of one colour (and a set of metallics) and were really inexpensive. I believe they were only 1 euro for a package of 6 shades, plus another euro for a package of 6 tiny containers to put them in.
This was the best OCC class ever (but I say this after every class). However, I did already enter 3 cards into the gallery in the first week, which is something like a record for me.
Enjoy what’s left of your Sunday!

Kathy,
Beautiful cards. I took the online class (first time) and really want to try out the techniques shown, but currently working on a Groundhog Day treat for a boy’s soccer team . I was going to give treat tomorrow, but Coach changed practice to Wednesday. I put a lot into treat and will continue and give late…oh well. Can’t wait until I start using all techniques learned from the online class.
Have a good rest of the weekend.

I’m slogging through the OCC homework. I could probably get it done if I wasn’t getting interrupted all the time with things like laundry, housework and the cat. I admire that you can just watch something and them come up with these gorgeous cards. WOW! I must be slow or something. Anyway. these are just lovely.

Gorgeous card, Kathy, as always. 😀 I like cheerful colors a lot, as well as the design. 😀
Now onto your questions… I am mostly resting, because weather is so bad here in Cavtat and I have killing headaches (this is going for a month now). I refuse to take any kind of painkillers! 😀 Resting is my best medicine. Luckily, this kind of weather will be soon over. 😀 When I do feel good, I am making cards, mostly for upcoming birthdays, and my DT projects. 😀
Hmm your 30 day challenge… I think you´ll make card a day and post a day. 😀 Did I guess it? 😀
Have a lovely day and thank you for sharing your gorgeous creations. 😀

Beautiful cards! Love how the colors turned out with the glitter too. I recently bought some Elizabeth Crafts glitter and this would be a good way to try it out! Although it has been so static-y in the house with the recent weather and snow we have got I would hate to have the glitter go everywhere, ha! Thanks for sharing.

FABULOUS CARDS KATHY!!! 😉 I have been thinking of turning those lawn cuts dies vertically for sometime now & just haven’t done it! I SHOULD get on it! LOL LOOOOVE what you’ve done with BOTH of these cards & I think leaving the white inside of the “h” is GREAT! It gives a new slope to those lawn cuts dies! 😉
P.S. Did you get your package???? 😉
