Hello Friends, How are ya? I love hearing how coloring everyday or almost everyday is such a rewarding experience for you even if it’s for a short time. Seeing some of your children get involved is the icing on the cake.
Tonight I was in the mood to fussy cut an image and I knew these posies would be simple to color so I reached for them. I call this quick coloring “one layer”….barely any shading. The stitched rectangle and circle really offset my posies arrangement and gave the card more of a focal point.
The feather strokes became my design on the petals. Adding white dots make the flower busy but, I enjoy it so what the heck 🙂
Just testing to see if this works?

Love the color of your flowers.
Love your “one layer coloring.” I must adopt this technique because it looks fabulous! Love the white dots too for a super fun look.
Beautiful! The addition of the white gel pen makes it pop…I need to practice more with mine! This has been so much fun to play along. I have visited stamp sets and coloring mediums that I have been away from for too long. Thanks for getting it all started!
Wow, that must have been the quickest ‘video’ ever. Reminds me of trying to play Pacman on a 486 PC back in the 80s LOL. At least your flipagram showed the various steps, so that’s a good thing. Love that image and what you did with it. I’m currently finding myself on the lookout for images that are easy to colour and you also got me to print out several digital images that were just ‘hiding’ in my computer.
Beautiful card. Love the coloring of your flowers
Wow! This is stunning work! I’m really enjoying the tips and tricks I’m learning from you. I’ve been adding white gel accents to many of my colored projects and I just love it! Thanks for all your inspiration. You ROCK!
Wow! That’s stunning. The white accents are perfect. I can never remember to do that, but it adds so much.
Adore the posies! Great technique. The Flip-a-gram was interesting but a little too fast for my brain lol.
What a beautiful card Kathy! I just love the colors!
Your posies are absolutely gorgeous, Kathy! I’m definitely going to try this technique…Thanks!
Such a beautiful card!! I love the detail you put into your projects!! That is some SERIOUS fussy-cutting!! Those are some thin blades of grass!! I need to learn the art of fussy cutting for sure!!
Your coloring always leave me inspired and awe struck! I love the small details you add to every image to make them unique and truly yours, like your white dots.
Your card is beautiful, your posies are amazing!!!
Ooooo, those posies are stunning, Kathy! LOVE!!! ♥
Wow – beautiful effect 🙂
the color in those flowers is just so beautiful – and of course I love the dots! :-)’thanks for all the inspiration
Oh fun…but I still love a video! funny because there is just something inspiring to me in watching someone else create and it doesn’t matter if they are making something I would never make it still inspires me! I don’t have copics but I can tell that I will have stuff to learn!! I still have to post yesterdays coloring I was too tired after DD dragged me off to the mall LOL so I will try to post two today on instagram for you! 😀
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card, I love how it POPS out at you! 😀
Dolly

Kathy, I love your card and your posies are so cute. Yep, I love those dots and I am learning, little by little to be comfortable putting them on my cards. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely colors and design!

Wow Kathy, those flowers are gorgeous and I love the colors, they really stand out against the aqua!
Well I LOVE the posies the way you’ve colored them – white dots and all!! That ‘flipagram’ was pretty cool too…almost as good as a video cuz we can see all the steps but miss your funny commentary. 🙂
This is so pretty!
B E A U T I F U L !!!! Sure wish my white gel pens worked as well as yours…..I have the same brand and have tried many? Wonder why mine do not work well!!
Thanks Kathy!!
Hi Lisa, How are you feeling? Have you tried warming your gel pen on your finger and waiting for it to flow? Good luck and sending healing prayers your way. 🙂
Hi Kathy,
I am feeling better each and every day! Hoping you hubby is doing the same.
Yes, I have tried your wonderful tip and it does work, with a brand new pen…sadly I don’t know why, by mine dry up, or so it seems super fast. Yours always seem to work so well!!
Hugs
Lisa
How so beautiful! I just love how you made the feather strokes the coloring and adding the white dots. Awesome card. I can’t wait to see another of you’re videos.
What a lovely technique. Thank you for sharing it. I am going to be trying that one.

Lovely work as usual Kathy. I will try the feather strokes for sure. Congrats. to Angela too!

This is so pretty, Kathy. I love it!!
Gorgeous card Kathy! I love those flowers AND the dots, one question- when you have an element overhanging the side of a card, how do you post it,in a bigger envelope?
I’m really into dots and stripes at present, whether it be patterned paper,colouring,stamps-whatever! Thanks for an opportunity of winning a prize too.x
Yes Ann I use a larger envelope 🙂
I told you that I’m running out of adjectives in English and may have to resort to Spanish. Ha,ha AWESOME card! Hermosa tarjeta!

Very pretty–Love the dots on the flowers.
Gorgeous flowers and card!! I hope your husband is doing well.
Such a cute card! Yeah! I found a little time to color today!!!!! First day in the past seven!!! I need to do more of it….it lifts my spirits so much! 🙂
BEAUTIFUL posy, DELIGHTFUL dots and COOL Flipagram!!!
ANOTHER AWESOME day of colour and colouring 🙂
PS – just a note about the flipagram, it is cool to be able to watch your colouring progress but I had to watch it a few times because it went a little fast for me and I couldn’t work out how to pause it – please don’t be offended, I really did enjoy it!!!
I know sorry it was an experiment since I haven’t had time to do a video. I value your feedback and agree. Thanks Tracy 🙂
Hard to say Kathy but I think this is my fave so far
Ooooooh, that card is so pretty, Kathy. I love those white dots you added to the flowers. It really adds an extra dimension. Need to try that!
Kathy!! Your card is totally amazing!!!!!
This card is beautiful, I love the colors, the way you presented the flowers on the blue circle and the flowers coming off the card. I really love the added dots. Makes for a stunning card.
Cool flip gram, card too! 🙂
Hi Kathy, I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this card, LOVE the color, the flower. I sure hope on the video you do on Monday it explains ” fussy cut” I have been scrapping and card making awhile and seen this word so many times BUT I have NO idea what it means ?? Or how you do it, I would love to finally learn that. Also this “flipagram”, I was so confused what to do, are we suppose to sign up on there to see your videos now? You can tell I am NOT up with all this new stuff and I sure am not computer savy, like I have really enjoyed the coloring challenge, but I still can’t figure out how to get a few of my things uploaded on my computer, but I decided it was finally not worth my frustration, it was taking away from the reason I was trying this, I have a HUGE amount of stress in my life and I was using this challenge to try to help with that. Anyways, back to your amazing card, I so look forward to that video. Thank you Kathy. OOPS, I almost forgot tell your hubby he is in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery, bless you both.
Love this card!!! Very beautiful!!!
The card as it was looked great, but those white dots really made a difference in bringing out texture and detail. Love it!

Kathy thanks so much for sharing this card today. It is drop dead gorgeous! Wow is all I can say!! The flowers just pop with that vibrant shade of purple and so love how they are clustered. Love everything about it right down to the stitches on the card. Love those die cuts. I just want to say that the way you did your video with the flip-a-gram was a very clever idea! I had no problems seeing the video and I really would like to learn more about it so maybe I can use it for my own blog when I share things. I think it is much more convenient for bloggers like myself, who are finding it hard to make a post, to use something like this instead of making videos which can be very time consuming. Thanks for sharing it here and providing us all with another way to share our creations. Love what you sharing here and look forward to creating with you. Hugs.
What a gorgeous card!
And congrats Angela!
Gorgeous card! Love the white dots – need to give that a try!
This is absolutely beautiful! The shading is on point!!
WOW, WOW, WOW what an awesome card just beautiful dear. I so badly want to be as good as you and hopefully some day I can. I’ve been taking a lot of the online classes but I get so far behind because I am trying to make cards along with the instructor’s. I do take my time and I am learning but, not sure I could ever produce something as beautiful as this card. Kathy you have out done yourself. Your hubby must be very proud of you.
I love your card…..it is simp,e, but not really! The colors are pretty, especially for this time of year when I am craving Spring and warm weather!! I am new to your blog and have enjoyed looking around and love your videos. I have been stamping and making cards for at least 20 years…..I started out stamping, but now I really look for stamos that I can color….either watercolor or with Copics. I love the Copics, but their price prevents me from having as many as I would love to have! Thanks so much for the time you put into your videos. They are so appreciated!!
Hi Diane, Thanks for sharing and so happy you found my blog too. 20 years in card making is a long time! Did you see my Copic giveaway? Here’s a link and good luck 🙂 https://www.thedailymarker.com/2015/03/day-13-video-wstencil-dots-copic-giveaway/
I dont remember postig a comment about this card. Such a beautiful card so just thought I better comment again just in case. So eye catching. Love the look totally.
