Hello Friends, Before we get started on Day 10 let’s finish Day 9. The “Doodle Buds” flowers I posted from yesterday I mentioned that I didn’t feel like they were finished. I stamped more flowers to color with my Zig clear brush markers.
Thanks for asking for a video you inspired me and I have a video for you … one of those unedited ones. 🙂
Ok now let’s jump to Day 10 shall we? Earlier this week I shared a card that used minimal supplies (and a giveaway you can check out the post out here)
Today I wanted to show how I am using the negative part of the die. (The die cut part of the “scripty thanks“)
This Mama Elephant “Photo Bomb” stamp set was perfect for the look I was going for PLUS it gave my card some balance.
The “Stitched Circles” and the “Stitched Squares” were also used to create my card. So a big THANKS from me to you!! Thanks for your visit each day and when you comment (you don’t need to) and posting about the challenge, linking, creating, sharing and most of all taking time for you. See you tomorrow! Hugs, Kathy
P.S. To all of you Face Book fans did you know that there is a FB page called “Copics in the Class Room” They have videos and tutorials. You can check it out here.

Hi Kathy, love your flowers. I really like the white spots you add with your zig white pen. I dont seem to be having much luck with my pen. It appears the copic seeps into the white and ai just cant get the bigger look you have achieved. Not sure what Im doing wrong but I will perserver. Totally enjoying this challenge.
Uni-Ball Pen Signo Gel WHITE UM-153 is what is used for my white dots. Remember to warm up the tip of the pen on the top of your hand and test on a scrap piece of paper. Then have fun doing dots. 🙂
I really enjoy the unedited videos. You are truly watching the process and how your mind works. The relaxed thought process really comes across to all your viewers. You also make it very clear to have fun and not stress about it. I love the Zig markers too. Having a blast playing with them. My copics are feeling neglected. The ‘tapping” with the brush and water onto the Zig color is great. It’s a great way for the color to it’s thing with minimal effort. Love the Doodle Buds stamp. This look is so whimsical and screams to be colored with any medium. I’m going to Zig-it and then Copic-it. Thanks for all the time and energy you share with us. You are truly a gift and inspiration to all of us. Thank you so much my talented friend. Hugs and kudos to you! 🙂
Thanks Patti for your kind words and making my day. Were you really up at 3 am lol. xo
Hi Kathy, I so love to watch you play and change your mind while picking your colours. Reminds me of a water colouring class I have taken in the past. My teacher and friend is also a huge fan of ‘playing with water and paint’, but I’m finding it hard to ‘let go’. You can see a few sample of my friend’s work on her website (http://www.ateliertheavenue.nl/aquarellen.htm). Unfortunately, eye problems are preventing her from doing a lot of painting these days (but she did do some water colouring while we were in Ireland last month), so she is now focussing on textiles (http://www.ateliertheavenue.nl/textiele_werkvormen.htm).

Your friend’s water coloring is fabulous. I’m thrilled your friend found another creative outlet to explore. Thanks for playing with the challenge. 🙂
Great Video and I agree I am in LOVE with that stamp set. Can’t put it down although I know I should.
SO cool! I love the little photo bombing kiddos! they’re too cute! 😀
Dolly
Thanks for doing the video! Fun to see different ways to use the zig markers! You really got a nice watercolor look!
Thanks for the video!! Love your photo bomb card… that thanks from your other project is FAB on it!
Thanks, Kathy, for this unedited video. I often take my watercoloring too seriously and forget to have fun and experiment. This video reminded me that there are happy mistakes and wonderful surprises with watercolor when you remember to just have let go and have fun.
I’m glad that message resonated with you. Have fun for you. Color like no one is watching. 🙂
Gorgeous!! Loved the video too!
Kathy, so beautiful flowers and colors!!! Thank you for video!!!
So glad you did a video. The flowers are all so beautiful, especially the purple/blue ones in the back, and the Signo highlights are the icing on the cake.
I love my icing of dots. I’m happy you enjoyed the video.
Loved this video where we can see you thinking and changing your mind. And of course, the end result is beautiful! I must have this stamp set too! Hugs!
Thank you for the video, Kathy. Absolutely love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Wonderful! Jo x
Great video! Feels like I’m right there with you! Your colouring is beautiful! I like seeing the Zig pens because I have them on order -they’re coming from Japan and it’s taking forever! But I’m so excited to be getting them – I can’t wait to play!
Thanks for another great video–and another beautiful card! It’s so true that we just need to “do it” and not think about it too much–and it is easy! It’s fun, we shouldn’t make everything perfect and just a chance to have some fun. I have been keeping up every day, going to hopefully stamp some stamps on water color paper, to play with water colors for awhile. I have a new stamp I’ve been “dyinking” to use!
You have the right attitude and spirit! Color like no one is watching! Have fun for you. 🙂
Great video thank you so much!
love the card and flowers a must have stamp set I think!
the photobomb card is so cute & trendy. I must confess, I borrowed the idea on the flower card for my color challenge picture today, only thing is, I don’t have the stamp set. I had to faux stamp… My picture is on Instagram….
Love your videos and cards!
Thank you so, so much for this video with the Zig pens. I bought them but was a tad frustrated. I love how you just keep playing and changing it up – adding or taking away water. I just need to sit down and understand there isn’t a ‘right’way to use them. Your video helped SO much – especially since it was unedited! The flowers are just gorgeous – and there were some steps in between when they weren’t perfect but you kept at it. Thanks!!
Just keep having fun experimenting. I’m happy the video was helpful. 🙂
As I wrote last night, I’m so happy and thankful for the video you did with the Zig brush pens. Well, I have another request. One of my favorite cards from the last challenge was on day 26. You used the Spectrum Aqua markers and pencils. Those gladioli are incredibly beautiful. Any chance you could do a quick unedited video? I don’t want to be demanding. If you don’t have the time I understand completely.
The flowers are really cute!! Oh my the photo bomb card is so very fun!!!
Love how the touches of white pen add such great personality to the flowers! And that Photobomb card is SO adorable!
Got to be one of my fav videos yet. Love the unedited. Beautiful cards… Thank you for the reminder to relax…..
Gorgeous Flowers, Kathy! Is this how you do all of your amazing coloring? You just play and experiment. For Me, that is the most artisitc way? The most free way, to achieve something great and fun. Thanks for this challenge! I’ve missed a few days, but hope to hop back in tomorrow! (((crafty hugs)))
Keep reminding yourself to relax but most of all to have fun and carving time out for you.
You’re soooo talented! Thank YOU for posting the video! I love all of your videos….ESP the unedited ones! I play them while I’m coloring and it feels like your here coloring with me!! No pressure but I welcome any and all videos!!! Thanks for all your inspiration! Loving this challenge!
I love your sweet card. Thanks for sharing.
Crafty hugs,

I too love your unedited videos, so natural and great to watch. It might sound terrible but you don’t have to concentrate so hard and then miss something taking a sip of tea then have to rewind and all that drama. They are a pleasure. Oh and I love your flowers and the white “icing” just brings them to life. Thanks Kathy.
Oh and I meant to say, I watched the flipagram withthe thanks script you die cut and I am so surprised and how great it looks on the second card, I would never have thought to do that.
The raccoon is adorable and I am loving the 30 day challenge. I am keeping up. Yea!

Loved your flowers and video. Thanks for sharing your “photo bomb” card–cute as can be.
I love those stamps! They are so precious! I really enjoy your instructional videos. I learn so much from them. I just wish I had more time to practice. I love how you add the white gel pen dots. It really gives a little something extra to the overall design. Thanks for the opportunity to win a stamp!
Thanks for the chance to win.
The card is adorable.
Hola, Kathy! Wow, your flowers look amazing. Not that I’m surprised. (laugh) They remind me of the artisan work that I have seen in Mexico. They use thin metal like aluminum to create flowers and lightly color them. I have seen some pretty awesome artisan work over there. Of course, I’ve seen pretty awesome artisan work from you. =) Great job. Or in Spanish, bien hecho! (well done) Tu amiga en Texas, Marisela
Those flowers are amazing. Your videos are wonderful and so helpful!
I L-O-V-E that doodle bud set! And your video was super fun and informative – I wouldn’t generally think to add brown to my flowers but it looks great!
I also love how the negative “thanks” adds SO much interest to the piece. Great inspiration again
Thanks,
lyn
Love it all!
So cool to see the card come together!! You are amazing!!!
COOL cards & colouring Kathy!!!
I LOVE watching your unedited videos – I learn SO MUCH and appreciate them all the more because it makes me feel like I can achieve the results instead of being disappointed & frustrated when I take longer than what I have seen 🙂
Please tell me about the brush cleaner water container. I like this method for watercoloring. Is it a muffin tin? What’s it made of? Where can I find one?
Thank you so very much for sharing your talent and inspiration. It means so much……..
Oh my!! I LOVE how you cut out that thanks from your coloring and then used it on this card. What a great idea!! You ROCKS!!
Just fabulous! Love the video, the flowers and all the helpful hints! XX
I love the you did the thanks on your card, cool, Cheers Anna.
I truly love this stamp set. Now that I am home and have access to all my supplies I can go back and add some pizzaz to my flowers with some white highlights and finish some of the things that I started!
