Fall Leaves

Hello Friends, How are you? Sorry I have been MIA! It was my daughters last week at home before she went off to college for her junior year. My how time flies!! As far as stamping goes I am sure you have heard that’s it’s Stamptember!! Every year I look forward to a month long of inspiration from Simon Says Stamp and such an awesome assortment products and exclusive collaborations with some of my favorite companies . Click here to see the full release. Today I am sharing the “Maple Leaf Corner” with this “Big Scripty Holiday Greetings“sentiment set. LOVE them both. I wanted to make a frame with the Maple Corner by using the die cut in both corners but, ran out of time.

I used some watercolor paper with these watercolors. Once they dried I added a thick coat of “Rock Candy” to the leaves. While the leaves were wet I turned the edges up and glued them down with some glossy accents.

This weekend I will be coloring my favorite stamp set from the release. Doesn’t this santa make you squeal? Have a great weekend and see you soon. Hugs, Kathy

    Beautiful card….I do love the colors of Fall. The new releases are wonderful…several items I absolutely love….and, yes, the Santa is too cute….great for those of us who live in Florida.

    Beautiful!! I really love how you did the leaves!! I am dying to get this die because we are Maple Syrup makers and this would be great for the cards we enclose with the syrup we give as gifts! TFS!

    oh Kathy, you have done it again. made a lovely card with leaves that are to die for! I love the rock candy stickles on the leaves. when I first saw that, I had a picture in my mind of me using one of those small bottles with the small tips, trying to squeeze out enough and then somehow spreading it around. in my mind, it looked like a hot mess. lol BUT NO! there is a product that you linked to (I had no idea it existed) its in a jar and spreadable!!! YAY! just in time for Christmas! once again! I really love the card and the watercoloring on the leaves is lovely. thanks again, treen

    What a beautiful card. I just LOVE the beautiful colors you used. Thats one of my fav dies and stamp sets from the Stamptember release. I just LOVE that corner die. Just love the simon stamp pad color for this. Need to put this on my wishlist too. Thank you.

    The maple leaf corner die is one of my favorites of the release. Can’t wait to see what you do with the Santa (and hope you use the cute palm trees with him. they are all just too cute.)

    I also love how you did the leaves. I don’t have a die cutting machine so I when I was outside working on my garden, I saw some leaves on the ground that I had never seen before. I don’t know where they came from but they were pretty. They had green veins in them but yellow around them. I laminated them! I don’t have a laminator but I have laminate paper. Now I have real leaves for a card! I did it once with rose petals too!

      Forgot to say how much I really love that Surfing’ Santa! Did you know there is a song from the 60’s called Surfing’ Santa? This song would go well with this stamp!
