Day 16. Video – Hop- Giveway

Hello Friends, It’s Day 16 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I was lucky enough to combine the challenge with Simon Says Stamp’s Blog Hop. If you are new to the challenge it’s for anyone who loves to color. More info at the bottom of my post. 🙂

Welcome to Simon Says Stamp new release called, “Create Joy” Simon has done it again with a beautiful variety of products … everything from elegant to cute. Talking about cute how about this bear!!  The second I saw it I knew it needed to be mine. 🙂 If you want to start at the beginning of the hop go here.

Coloring this was a breeze because I used my rag technique with some blending solution on “The Bear Necessities” stamp set. The pattern was super easy to customize his hat and apron by criss crossing lines with a marker.

Of course I had to stuff his pockets with some fish and a heart for his girlfriend. (I cut out extra pockets and glued them down with some glossy accents on top of the fish etc.) I love stamping a background with these grey inks from Simon.

The back of the bear shows his cute P.J.’s with flap. In the video I show how I created the jammies and you can see the tail!! You will hear about in the video. Click here to see the video in HD.

When I finished my card the tail didn’t look quite right against my coloring. You might be able to imagine what that tail might have looked like lol. I cut another flap and glued it on top of that tail. The bunny is from this stamp set… I felt the bear needed his favorite stuffed animal with him.

I used wink of stella on the moon and wanted to show you how it looks so I had to snap a pic of this in the dark. The video gives a quick explanation of the simple background.

    Your attention to detail is hilarious. The butt flap on his pj’s did look naughty…like how you fixed it. I gotta say the fish in this set just kills me…so fun. Bears and fishes do go together.       The top part around the moon was weatherd wood distress ink. ” Relax with Color” 🙂
