It feels so good to make a finished card. I sharedĀ this sweet girlĀ a few days ago when I was traveling. For today’s coloring I pulled outĀ my “packed markers” to color this flower from The Ton. (I need to unpack…any volunteers lol)
I thought hey let’s give her a home among the blossoms…since the colors coordinate.
Coloring these cherry blossoms …Ā I did a circle of the darkest color on each petal, then a circle of the medium and following with the lightest….each color blended the other. Ā When finished I added E50 to the middle.
This time I plucked only 2 green markers when I packed …go figure. Like I always say you come up with unique color combos this way. I love this new color combo for the leaves and wound’t have come upon it if I didn’t pack some markers to take with me.
The outline colors might be helpful to you but, finishing your colorĀ off with a “0” softens the last line of color.

How many days I colored… During this challenge, not as many as I wished. 5 or 6, didn’t count. Had some health issues and didn’t have any strength to do anything. Now I’m better. Hopefully I’ll manage to share what I’ve colored before this challenge ends. :o)

I’ve just counted, and have done 20 of the 25 days so far. I was away in the UK for the first 3 days and started the challenge when I came home. This is the first time I’ve participated in something like this and I’m really enjoying getting my markers out more. Thank you for the inspiration.

Best coloring moments so far for me during this challenge has been coloring on the go for the first time ever and last night coloring a doodle (thanks for the inspiration) while my daughter sat next to me coloring digitally on her ipad. Sweet time of coloring and talking.

Beautiful card! Flowers are my fav. Haven’t missed a day of coloring during this fantastic challenge. It’s a rare day when I don’t do something crafty…if I’m away I might be shopping for crafts, otherwise, I’m at my table everyday, at least for a little while.
I have to say I just LOVE the color combo on this card. It’s very different, but just beautiful. Sadly, I haven’t been able to color every day as I had hoped. My work schedule makes me so tired when I get home that I kinda just zonk out. lol

Hi Kathy, Your blossoms and leaves came out very pretty. This past week has been very hot so we decided to take a trip to my sister in laws to go swimming in the pool. I was however able to get a day to practice on my coloring. I really want to practice and learn to color on flowers it looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your daily creation I love it!

I don’t have many floral stamps and any of these are pretty! What a fun challenge, I’ve missed only a few days mostly due to kind of unavoidable issues, and have really enjoyed playing along!
I have noly had about 3 days that I could dolor something, but I have spent at least 5 days helping my teen daughter and her friends color… so does 5 days times 4 or five girls equal 25 days of coloring??????
Love that new green combo on your leaves, too! I always seem to use the same greens also. I have probably coloured or painted 21 out of the 25 days so far. I find weekends when hubby is home hardest to find quiet time!
These are wonderful! Sadly have not gotten to play along as much this time around, I have done a lot of coloring on the sides for dt release projects or magazine calls so I couldn’t share but I’d say probably 15

Wow again Kathie, you are my inspiration each and everyday. Heck if I were to win I would be happy with any set, I’m not to picky since I don’t have many flower stamps yet. I always love the way you get just the perfect colors to blend even when you only have 2 greens. I only wish I traveled as much as you do some days I would give to just get out of the house lol. Today here in Texas we have this BIG (everything in Texas is Big lol) Black Cloud hanging overhead and it is the perfect day to color, Can’t swim when there is lightening right lol. Oh to be able to color like you! I’m doing pretty good in the participating category. I’ve not colored maybe five days. I’m loving painting, you paint a layer today wait for it to dry and paint the next layer tomorrow. By the end of the week I have a finished painting. And to think there’s only a few days left to this challenge!

Awesome giveaway!! I love The Ton! Out of the 25 days I’ve managed 22 and had more than one project going on a lot of the days. Despite loads of visitors and an injured hand (the right one of course as I’m a righty)
Great card and lovely stamps. I should just pull colors and see what comes of it, also. lol I’ve been able to color for at least a few minutes every day but one, I think. Not a lot of finished projects — mostly practicing to get pencil and marker skills down. But it’s been fun. Of course, all I can think is “Get Christmas cards started. Get Christmas cards started. Get Christmas cards started NOW!” lol

As for how many days I’ve been able to color, I haven’t counted, but I can tell you it’s been far fewer than I would have liked. However, I did buy some coloring pages and have had fun trying different mediums on them.

Beautiful! I haven’t been able to color much this month at all; just a few evenings. My mom is ill and I am the guardian to a family member with special needs who happened to be in the hospital at the same time (unfortunately, the hospitals were in different towns!). Hoping to get more in next month…I need the “therapy” coloring provides!
Once again, fabulous inspiration! I’ve coloured twenty days, although I’ve not taken photos/uploaded as most are simply ‘random acts of colouring’ (RAC)in my colouring book (Millie Marrotta~Animal Kingdom). No fully finished pieces…just a splash of red here, a dusting of pink there. I LOVE my colouring time! Keeping it up after your challenge is done because guess what I found yesterday at Chapters/Indigo: postcard sized images of those in my colouring book! Yayyyy…and they were 40% off to boot AND I had a gift certificate! I scored 50 postcards for .15 cents!! Lots o’ colouring going to happen!

The circle colouring is such a good idea and I’m always amazed at how that soft blue outline really makes the images pop. Just beautiful!! I haven’t been able to colour as much as I would have liked but have discovered pencil colouring on kraft with white gel pen around it and I’m obsessed, so thats a huge bonus!!
So….does painting the walls of my camper count???….lol. Spent most of this month redoing our camper, but have managed to get a couple days in. Mostly just playing with new products. Have a great weekend, blessings

Hi Kathy! I have been loving seeing everyone’s coloring this challenge. Sadly, I have to admit that I’ve only done 2-3 days this time around.
The flowers and the girl go together perfectly! The leaves look great- i love it when mishaps turn into delightful new discoveries. I’ve had some card projects in the hopper so have been able to (had to?- joyfully) color at leas 10-15 days of the challenge so far. Loving it! LOVE the cherry blossom stamp…and, it looks easy to color – a real plus for me!!!! I have only been able to color twice this month – husband on Hospice and Studio time is at a premium! Have really enjoyed seeing (on my i-Pad as I sit with him) what you have done each day!!! Hope I can get in more coloring in the future!

What a sweet card!
I have actually been able to craft a little everyday, even though some days only for 5 minutes or so. I have really enjoyed this challenge. I have learned that crafting means a lot to me and that only a few minutes does a lot. I have learned not to be so precious about what I do and to try out more things. It’s been great!
Love this sweet card, Kathy! Gorgeous colours. I’ve managed to colour during most days, even if it was only for a short period of time. I did manage to actually complete an entire card about 5 times.
I’ve been able to color almost every day this month! This has been SO GOOD for me. I’m getting things made, trying new stuff, just loving it!

I would never have thought to put that wee girl with the cherry blossom stamp, but it works! I keep getting some great ideas and now I just have to start putting them into practice. I saw that stamp on the Ton and will now order it after seeing it on an actual card. Thanks again, Kathy. (have coloured only about 10 times or so, but one day, it was literally for 6 hours!)
I love the “o” tip–wouldn’t have thought to color petals that way. Also, love the sweet girl with these blossoms too–it’s all so very pretty! I’ve probably colored about 1/2 the days. Some of it I’ve been practicing coloring the little bear stamps that are out there now and don’t feel the work is “share worthy”. š Almost got to a point where I was ready to sell the critter stamps but your reminders that it’s all about just enjoying the process kept me going! I’ve been coloring for 16 days and got busy with works in the last 2 weeks… I hope to be able to be back coloring again.
I am not sure how much I ace gotten to color I started out good but then I schedules got in the way. We will just say I haven’t colored as much as I want too. But I do love those Ton stamps And the 30 day color challenge.

Kathy, the cherry blossoms are very pretty, I ordered the Always Cherry Blossoms stamp, when it came out but haven’t had a chance to use It yet. Resolving some medical issues this month so not much time to color, but I have enjoyed everyone else’s and hope to get to coloring very soon.

This is so gorgeously colored. I always like to color flowers but sometime they can be intimidated b’cos of the shading and overlapping petals… I’ll still continue practice coloring everyday! Last challange I concentrated on water color mediums which I always afraid to try now Im getting the hang out of it and will continue to do practice. I am proud to say that I have coloured nearly every day, practising my Copic colouring. I’ve not taken photos of everything, just shared my completed cards. Thinking about posting about some of my experiences along the way, as not everything works out as smoothly as it looks when we’re watching you in action š
I have coloured, painted or blended everyday. Some days just enough to show someone other days finished into a card. A few times I have had to post two on the say day as I had no internet on other days. hate the thought of not doing and sharing each day. has been amazing.
Beautiful card, love your coloring. I’ve been able to color about 16 days, my personal best. I have some prestamped images and a bucket of favorite markers and pencils and peerless watercolors in a small tote and that organization has helped me find a few minutes to color. Thanks so much for another month of color fun!

Well..I’ve been able to colour for None days except today..which was quite rare for me to be able to do so on a weekend! I was teaching my 4yo daughter about animals which are rainbowish in nature.. And took the opportunity to stamp some parrots and a chameleon from MFT stamps. at the same time, I did a “demo” on how to mix the Colours to get a rainbow parrot and chameleon. It was such fun! Hehe tomorrow I hope to find more time to stamp and Colour with her.. š

I love your colors! Cherry Blossoms are so pretty! My parents got to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom in Washington when they got married. Mom said it was beautiful! I think I’ve seen some in our town but not like in Washington. I love all those stamps and if I win one, If, mind you, I would certainly put them to good use. If my mom saw how many stamps I have she would have a cow! LOL At least it’s not something expensive like cars, right?
How many days have I colored for the challenge? Let’s see, with my broken foot I can’t jump rope, work in my garden, hula hoop, take a walk, or roller skate. However, with my foot propped up and sometimes iced, I can do plenty of coloring and I have been coloring everyday! Right now I have to make a birthday card for my niece and I am coloring a page from my coloring book for my nephews dorm room wall when he goes to college. He picked it out. Wait till you see how that one comes out! It looks amazing already! I just finished a card for my mom’s birthday and when I scan it, you can see it too. I love how it came out! My coloring just keeps getting better and better I think. Do you know they still make color by number kits with colored pencils and paint? I used to love doing those as a kid and some that I did are hanging up in our basement. I did a Google search last year and saw some for sale I thought they weren’t selling them anymore.!I also did something that was kind of cool and would be great on a card. The picture was on the canvas or whatever they made those things out of and it came with pieces of tissue paper. You glued the tissue paper that you tore up all over the picture. It is so colorful! Then you took a black marker that I am sure came with it and drew the outline of the picture on the tissue paper which showed right through. The one I did was a Spanish man taking a Siesta with a big Sombrero on his head. I might try that on a card and please feel free to use my suggestion a card that you want to make.
I can’t believe the challenge is almost over! Wow! I also can’t believe that it’s almost Aug. too! Where does the time go?
Forgot to mention that I get about you having not enough green markers where you were. We have a 2 hour nap time at preschool and since I am a sub, I didn’t have anything to do at nap time. I’d bring in a card I was working on or some jewelry I was making or something to color. My problem was I would pack up what I needed in the morning and then take it out and find I left something at home so I can only do so much. If I was home, I would have had everything I needed. Maybe both of us need to have a bag that exactly matches what we already have at home. Yeah, and then we need a huge room to store everything! LOL

I’ve been good for about 10 or so. Most of those I managed to get in a good 20 minutes of coloring too! I’d have been more productive if I didn’t agonize over what colors to use. I envy your willingness to just grab colors!!! I’m willing to take risks in the beginning but the further along I get the less risks I will take cause I have invested so much time already! In the beginning I don’t mind starting over or changing color combos.
Hi Kathy, I so far have posted on Instagram for only 9 days, but I have colored almost everyday, I just have a thing about showing a project that is not complete! Oh well, something else to work on! I’ve colored (or doodled, I’m counting that) maybe 15 of the days? But I’ve managed to spend two entire Sunday afternoons with inky goodness, so that makes up for the days where I didn’t get to color at all.

Lovely! I have done some coloring, but not nearly every day. I have been without my computer and didn’t even know the challenge had started. Since getting it replaced, I have been trying to get used to the new computer and catch up on a month’s worth of mail. I did a little coloring last week while visiting my mom with my middle grand-girl. She got into the coloring book thing with me when she went last time, but this trip she just wanted to play cards every time I sat down! Most of my “coloring” had to do with fabric! These stamps are lovely, and I love that you aren’t afraid to post “unusual” color combos! My theory is that all this is play, and we should enjoy it! I have some very lovely grocery lists, quite colorful, which is what happens when an experiment doesn’t turn out so well! See…not wasted, just repurposed!
