Helloooo Friends!!! How are YOU!! How was your weekend? I am popping in today because I miss you all and it’s an Inspire Me Monday post on The Power Poppy Blog.
Seeing double? Double sunflowers? I love the sunflower in the stamp set called “In Praise of Sunflowers” so I decided to spend a little extra time doing a little masking & stamping to create a new larger, taller sunflower for some impact on my card.
In my video I show you how I lengthened the stem on the sunflower and added another bloom. Click here to watch the video in HD.
A bright white water color paper is always my choice and it’s on sale right now. (Use the code RGTW7 for 20% off on all things Ranger … woo hoo) The ink used was Versa Fine black ink. The “Zig Clean Color” brush tip markers worked beautifully to watercolor my card.
The sunflower was stamped again, cut and popped for more dimension. The sentiment is from the “Prairie Cheer Stamp” and that sweet little bee is from the same stamp set. The butterflies from Avery Elle were the perfect size to buzz around my sunflowers.
You all know I love my trusty white gel pen … after adding my white dots in the flowers center I added black on top of the white. Double dippin’ dots lol. When my card was completely finished I decided to add a splash of the watered down distress ink that was sitting on my table. Slightly risky but, whew it worked.
I hope to get back to my regularly scheduled posts… and I hope to explain soon. Thanks for hanging with me and for your emails …. I am so grateful and blessed.
Have a great start to your week. Hugs, Kathy
