Helllllooooooo friends!!! How are you all? Holy cow it’s crazy how time is flying by. My plan was to ease back in and post weekly and look … omg a month has gone by. Thanks for always being there for me.
Have you heard the buzz about the new Chameleon pencils? I tried them at CHA and couldn’t wait for them to hit the market. I was soooo lucky and I was honored to be asked to review the pencils for Splitcoaststampers ... gasp! You can read all the reviews here. (I was not paid for the review & my thoughts and opinions are my own)
I mentioned in my review how I think these pencils are great for travel because you have so many colors & the box is strong yet light weight.
The beautiful and oh so adorable “Sweet Pea” stamp from the Tiny Townies collection is super fun to color and love all the girls in this collection.
When I spend some time coloring I like to keep the card simple and let the image and coloring be the focal point plus it saves me time … a win win in my book. For this particular card I felt I needed a larger sentiment so I used a sentiment from Simon Say Stamp called, “Thoughtful Messages” … so many great sentiments!
Thank for your visit today and wishing you a lovely weekend … I promise to be back soon. Hugs, Kathy

Fabulous coloring on that sweet image, Kathy! Thanks for sharing your experience with the Chameleon pencils too!
What a beautiful job of colouring! I had not heard of these coloured pencils before today, they are beautiful! Are these cheaper to buy than Prismacolors? (I don’t have those yet as I can’t afford them but hopefully these are cheaper???)
Wow! This is the most amazing colouring I have ever seen! Love your choice of colours.
I’m always so impressed with your coloring skills. Absolutely gorgeous. I go to various stamp conventions and want to buy every stamp I see on their sample boards. And, then I realize…it’s not so much the specific stamp…but…the way it has been colored. That is becoming my quest, so to speak…learn how to color with the different mediums that are available. You, Kathy, have mastered this skill in every possible way. I’m always so in awe of your talents. I know…practice practice practice. Thanks for your inspiration to us.
Wow, Kathy! Your coloring is exquisite on this lovely card! I may have to look into those pencils…..although I love my Polychromos. Your artwork always inspires me! Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you Kathy. These look amazing as does your card. I have some Chameleon markers and do like those. This set has a good price point for 25 pencils. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing you use these again.
What an absolutely stunning card Kathy! You are truly a coloring guru!
Oh my gosh Kathy, you make it look so darn easy. Your coloring is exquisite. I have a heavy hand, so will practice using a very light hand and lots of layers.
I have the Prisma colored pencils and am so tempted to buy this set. It does have a good price point, wondering if you can buy separately if you run out of one color on the pencil?
Thank you for a wonderful learning experience…you are the best!
Aww Deanna you are a sweetheart thank you. I think I did hear that at some point they will sell the individual pencils?
Have a great day 🙂
The coloring that you did is phenomenal, Kathy. So beautiful.
I’ve been hearing about these pencils, Kathy! So glad to hear you like them too! 😉 AND your image is SO SWEET & you BEAUTIFULLY COLORED IT! LOOOOVE seeing all the lines & those white spots! 😉 BEAUTIFUL!!!
oh wow!
its amazing!
love it!
So pretty! I am hoping to add these to my coloring toolbox ASAP! TFS!
Loved watching you color this! Such a beautiful card. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful card! The stamp is gorgeous and your coloring amazing! Thanks for the video and the tip about lightly building up the color layers instead of pressing down too hard and “waxing out.” Now I know what I was doing wrong.
Beautiful. The Chameleon pencils are awesome having a color on each end. Love the color choices you used. Stunning work.
The coloring on this card is truly awe-inspiring! The shadows and highlights really make this image jump off the page. Amazing and beautiful!
Just beautiful. I love mixing pencils with my Copics. Love that these pencils are double ended. Very clever design.
By far the PRETTIEST card I have EVER seen. Bar none (sorry all of my other crafty folks I follow, but Kathy wins the card making award for the universe).
Ohhh my golly Aimee thank YOU!! Wow you have certainly made my day. xx
What a beautiful card. You do a wonderful job. Thanks so much for sharing.
SOOOO GORGEOUS! You are so talented! I love your choice of colors here! It was such a treat watching you!
Kathy you certainly make those colouring pencils look good! You’re project is exquisite. ☺
Hi Kathy, I hope you will color some more with the Chameleon pencils (and video it ) as I just ordered them, after watching your video on Split-Coast Stampers. 🙂 I have a good selection of Prismacolor pencils and will continue to use them, but I love the idea of flipping the Chameleon pencil over and having the perfect color to use for blending! I’m not into Copic coloring because I have so many other color options, but these were good value and I will use them. I have knee replacement surgery scheduled for mid-July and plan to color lots while I recuperate and in between PT sessions. 🙂
I mean’t to tell you that the coloring and the card are beautiful, also!
Beautiful work, glad to see you back here again!
Wow! You did a great job coloring that pretty stamp. The card is just beautiful.
I just love to watch you color. Watching the image come to life is relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on these pencils and your tips for using colored pencils.
Lovely card, I love your color choices. Thank you for doing a review of a new product you love that’s very helpful.
Thank you for the terrific video and all the tips you give. I love your card.
I saw an ad for these pencils today and wondered if they’d be good… based on this jaw-dropping colouring, yes they are! Of course, that is more due to the pencil-user than the product…
Such a beautiful card…the colors you chose & the level of skill just makes your card into
one of the WOW cards. I am inspired to practice. I have the set of 72 Prismacolor pencils. I like them, but love the pencil that you demo….I think the great thing about
them is that they are double tipped & that they have taken the hunting for the shading or blending color step away…which is a big plus for me…..so the Cameleon pencils go on my
Christmas whish list. Thanks for sharing.
gorgeous, awesome coloring, as always! so vibrant!
