Helloooooo Friends, How YOU!? Are you having a good summer so far? Or perhaps winter? Either way you can still get a little sun kissed if you are spending time outdoors. I am up on the Stamping Bella blog today with some photos and & tips of how I added a little sunburn to this sweet girl stamp called, “Thinking Of You Abella”.
I love the cacti …. the cacti and the sentient are both from this stamp set. Incidentally I have a video that I created with the “Thinking of you Abella” stamp that I filmed in March in case you missed it with more bold coloring.
The background was created with a Neat & Tangled stencil using some Memento “Summer Sky” ink. The images were stamped with Memento “London Fog” ink.
To begin I used an E50 copic marker and put on my first layer of color leaving some white areas where her arms and face might be lighter. (just guessing & not worrying about the proper placement of light) For the sun kissed look I added some pink tones with the E95. You can find more of the layers of color I used to color her on the Stamping Bella blog.
Keep in mind coloring is a journey and I think the magic really happens when you do everything else. In this case … eyeshadow, eyeliner, and a hazel color to the eyes. Thanks and more thanks for always visiting my blog. I will be back tomorrow for a hop and giveaway.
Hugs, Kathy

You did a WONDERFUL JOB on this Kathy! I don’t do people in stamping usually, but this image is making me think TWICE about it! LOL I looked over at Stampin Bella for your post, but didn’t find it. 🙁 I’ll look again to see if I missed it. SUPER BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! 😉

What a beauty she is! Nicely done. I am not a copics person. I do use colored pencils a lot with Gamsol. I think I might be able to achieve this with some practice. I will see you tomorrow….

Hi there Kathy, I have been thinking about you for the past couple of days. I was hoping that I would be able to find the post i was looking for, but I cant. I’m sure you will remember it. You were creating your own patterned paper print (we were working on a dawn wholesagle idea – it reminded us of a print by somebody kidwell? it had roses in a patterned opening with spots around the blank spots. Oh dear, I’m not doing very well describing it) anyway, I found a patterned paper pad that kind of reminded me of it. I thought i would mention it to you. Amazon has it. Its called pretty posy by trimcraft. You might already know about it, but i thought i would give you a heads up. I got the 8 by 8 inch. I might order the 12 by 12 also. hugs, treen
