Hello Friends! How are you today? If you are following along with “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge it’s Day 21. If you are new to my blog a warm welcome to you & thank you for your visit. If you are wondering what The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge is or if you have questions you can refer to this post. The premise of “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” is to color something everyday even if it’s for five minutes. Any medium is welcome & any skill level.
For the Simon Says Stamp blog hop I created a video. Woo Hoo! Click here to watch in HD.
Welcome to Simon Says Stamp GOOD VIBES Blog Hop. I know I can always use some more good vibes but, on another note this release is off the charts with a variety of stamps, die cuts, acrylic blocks, coloring cards and sequins! whew!
I am happy that I completed one card & video but, managed to play around a-little bit with some of the other stamps and die cuts. If only I could add an extra hour of crafty time each day!
When I saw the guy stamp called, “Good Vibes” I just had to smile. I thought he would be fun to make a shaped card. The “Dude” die cut was glued between the two layers that formed the shaped card. I painted a shirt, jeans and a tattoo on him. F.U.N.!
Simple watercoloring on some watercolor paper with Tombow markers was quick and easy for the birds & Good Vibes die cut. After coloring some loose stripes on the paper I used a generous amount of water to blend the colors. Once dry I stamped the birds and cut them out. The birds are from this stamp set called, “Strangeness” . I love that you can save money on the set. Tomorrow I will be coloring the awesome flowers in this stamp set and I can’t wait!
Most of you know how much I love Simon’s coloring cards and these new ones are just as fabulous. Trimming and adding a few details is all you need to do to have a special handmade card.
Using colored pencils to add more color and texture in accent areas gives my coloring more interest. I added a few diagonal stripes on some of the rays for a different look.
Do you know what a belly band is? Wrapping something around your card or an invitation is a belly band lol. Good to know! A few sequins, hand colored twine and a vellum belly band finished my card with ease.
GIVEAWAY!! Simon is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment section. You have FIFTEEN CHANCES TO WIN! WOO HOO! Winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday.

Well done! 🙂 so colorful :))
I love the guy too, but my first thought was that I wish they hadn’t put the sentiment on him–there are so many sentiments that would work. I’d love to see a whole “family” of these–adult female, adult male, children, teens, maybe even toddlers/infants! (If they do…I get a free stamp set, complete with sentiments!!!) So much fun today. Thank you. My creative work today involves fixing a skirt so I can wear it!!! It’s more engineering than art, but then I am determined to make it work.
Fun release!

If you are as old as I am (and a nurse), you would know that a belly band was a very long strip of cloth sent home with newborn infants. We wrapped this cloth tightly around the baby’s bellybutton area to keep it intact and clean!!!

Loving your cards..your work is amazing.
You always teach us something new, a subtle hint, a tweak of a previous demonstration, a new way to look at what we’re doing. Loved this but I never do coloring panels or coloring books. But you show me how narrow that is. And thank you for using Tombows sometimes. Have lots of them, used to love them, you were the one to show me they could be used other ways. Thank you and — Wonderful video — as always.

Beautiful coloring……….I forget about color pencils sometimes. Interesting to hear how you like to not use gamsol and leave the texture where more often I see people use something to “smooth” out the color pencils. Thanks for all the inspiration.
