Hellllooooo Friends!! How are you? Happy Weekend to you. I think it’s safe to say fall is upon us and that means it’s finally STAMPtember® !!!!! Besides coloring stamping is one of my passions and that’s why STAMPtember® rocks my boat. It’s a month long of major inspiration and temptation with awesome releases from Simon Says Stamp!
Heidi from Simon Says Stamp is so passionate about stamping and crafting. Here is how Heidi defines STAMPtember® in her own words.
“STAMPtember® (stmp-tmbr) is defined by Simon Says Stamp… an event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate our community of stampers.
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an obsession for rubber stamps. However, it didn’t take long until we became a One Stop Shop. Now Simon Says Stamp and STAMPtember® is so much more than stamps! This year you’ll also see a focus on many other exciting products like dies, notecards, and some very special surprises. Our intention is to be your one stop shop in this awesome community! Rubber stamps still remain at the heart of our business, and we are celebrating by releasing exclusive products with many of the industry’s finest brands. Be sure to visit our Blog as the home base for the festivities!
Trust me when I tell you that the activities this year are exceptional, and we have fun surprises to keep you on your toes ALL month long! We hope you find a product or two from our special exclusive collection releasing today that you LOVE!”
When I saw this stamp set called, “Naughty and Nice Elves” I fell in love. (Let me preface that I fell in love with the entire release lol but, I chose this baby for today’s post) This stamp called for some “no line coloring” and my go to ink for that is the fade out ink. When I do this kind of coloring I always add a base layer of marker first.
Aren’t these the cutest little elves? Gah love them. We are away for the long weekend so I wasn’t able to turn this into a card PLUS I was up until 2 am coloring her. I was prepared to show you part of it colored but, I just had to finish.
This is where I was going to stop and then just couldn’t ha ha ha. I feel like elves should be fanciful and that’s why you see eyeshadow and rosy cheeks. By the way I used my prisma pencils and I always say the best pencil is a sharp one!
Tomorrow I have two art pieces to share with you that I now have hanging on my wall and a VIDEO. This is a little sneaky peak … adding black to those nooks and crannies.
So sweet Kathy, no wonder you wanted to colour this and you did an amazing job of it too!
Love your sneak peek…
Have a wonderful weekend away!

Happy Stamptember Kathy! I’ve been “saving” up my crafting budget just for this month, I just love all the new stamps, but how to choose? I love your gorgeous little girl elf, so adorable and her “make up” is impeccable!
Happy Stamptember to you too, Sheri! I’m not sure how you will choose among the super sweet images in the upcoming releases. I appreciate your thoughtful comment; I am so happy you like her and her “makeup” 🙂
This looks like a beautifulillustration from a fairy tale book. Love your no lone coloring with the fade out ink. Getting one of those ink pads soon. Can’t wait!
Oh, Kristina, thank you so much! I still love the illustrations in those children’s Golden books from the 1960s (I’m dating myself ;)) What a lovely compliment 🙂
Yehh, it is STAMPtember, what a great month for us crafters. I love it and it is always such an inspiration for me to see what everyone creates. What you made today is also gorgeous as ever, your colouring is great! I love how you coloured the deer, it’s looks like real fur and I think it is great that you gave the ellf eyeshadow and rosy cheeks, love it!
Thank you for showing Kathy and have a great weekend.
It means so much to me that you notice the little things, like the elf’s eye shadow and rosy cheeks. Those little details are so much fun for me, Henriette. I appreciate your thoughtful comments. You make me smile 🙂
