Mama Elephant Stampede #celebrating6years

Hello and welcome to Mama Elephant’s Anniversary Release Stampede #celebrating6years. I am super excited to join Mama Elephant on this wild ride of a three day stampede! For today’s post I have four cards that I am excited to share with you! Every one of these stamps is special. Love how Mama Elephant stamps bring such emotion to their  joyful and happy stamps. Happy 6th Birthday to Mama Elephant!!
Nothing cuter than Santa’s sleigh, Rudolph and reindeer! Giving Santa’s sleigh a new look with a candy cane motif and some leopard fur tip on the sleigh was super fun. The new stamp set called, “Santa’s Sleigh” is soo precious and they are easy to color. All of these images were stamped with the perfect no line ink.
To create the night sky I used some distress ink and the yellow glow is sun is coming up so Santa better hurry up. The dog on Santa’s bag … LOVE!
The sentiment was stamped from the “Scripty Xmas” sentiments and so many beautiful ones in this stamp set! Adding some of this with a nubby rag gives you texture to the reindeers fur.
Coloring twine is something I do all the time and I found a new way to attach the twine to the back of the die cut easily. A glue dot! All of these stamps were colored with copic markers and a few colored pencils. I am sorry I don’t have a video this go around. Eyelashes were added with a super fine tip 0.03 marker.
To create the ornaments I stamped the deer from the “Santa’s Sleigh” stamp set onto the ornament for a fun twist. The stamp set “Joy Ornaments” is so versatile and the coordinating die cuts is what I used for the letters. I decided not to stamp on the letters for a more clean look. The ornaments and reindeer were stamped with a new black ink for me and what I love about it is … I have ONE black ink for my copic markers and watercolor!! YES!
Adding red to then nose to turn the sweet guy into Rudolph and a blop of glossy accents added more holiday cheer. More colored twine .. once it was dry I tied it on to the “J”. So fun!! I die cut the letters and ornament twice with some fun foam for more impact on my card.
On this card I decided to keep the twine it’s natural color and not custom color it with a marker. White accents were added with a gel pen and glossy on the ornament’s top.

    Kathy, thanks for the tip on Gina K’s Amalgam Black Ink. I get easily confused as to what black ink to use for what medium. I am so taken with what you did with the die cut letters & the ornament with the little reindeer! You can think outside the box, which is wonderful.

    Your cards are so adorable Kathy! I just purchased that no line ink from SSS but haven’t actually tried it yet!! I also got another from the same brand that says its for Copics and watercolours. I notice the Gina K one you can also use coloured pencils with Gamsol so that looks like it might be even more versatile.
