HUGE GIVEAWAY to SIMON SAYS CREATE PLUS HOTEL

Hello Friends!! How are you? When I say that I am super excited to announce this giveaway … well that’s an understatement! Some of you might wonder why such a big giveaway or expense? Sometimes you just have to follow your gut and act on that feeling. That’s what happened when I purchased TWO tickets to Simon Says Create.  I have been saving and saving my crafty dollars and just went for it without thinking and sometimes that’s when good things can happen. With that said what good is two tickets if you don’t have a hotel room right? So I went for that too hahah. There is so much crazy in the world now that I had to do something that felt right to me.

Two tickets and a hotel room to the best event in this industry! I know first hand that many people have anxiety going to these things so this way that winner can bring a friend, crafter, cousin or mother lol.

Many of you may know that I am a fan of shopping for my crafty supplies at Simon Says Stamp  and I love Heidi and the entire SSS family!  With so many of my local brick-and-mortar stamp stores closing over the past several years, Simon Says Stamp has become my fave one-stop-shop.

This March will be Simon Says Stamp fourth CREATE event…two FULL days of crafty fun!  A Group A ticket includes access to all classes, make-and-takes, and special store hours.  You will learn new techniques and making art with Gina Krupsky & daughter Rina, Kelly-Marie Alvarez, Dina Wakley and Paula Cheney.   You can read all about it at the SSS event page here.

The hotel for the event that is on campus is the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center (100 Green Meadows Drive South,Lewis Center, Ohio) The room is booked for  a THREE night stay  Thursday – Saturday (check out Saturday) The room has two queen beds so you don’t need to snuggle your favorite person unless you want to.

    What an awesome gift you are giving someone Kathy! This is tough for me as far as RAK’s (which are both my son and husband’s initials!) I do lots of RAK’s, from treating people for free (as a health professional) to donating to outreach programs through our church–we provide food boxes for homeless people and abused women’s programs and donate clothing to a state hospital for their residents. One of my life long goals is just to treat everyone with a respect and compassion, whether I meet them as a health professional or asking someone I meet if they need some help, especially if they are disabled or trying to juggle children and reaching for things in a grocery store. Give them a grin and even tell a joke or make a funny remark to make them laugh and know that I respect them as a fellow human.

    RAK: I teach at a California university with a demographic that includes a lot of immigrant, first generation, and working class students. As surprising as it might seem, we have a lot of students who are at or near poverty level (we’re also the #1 school in the country for the upward mobility of its alumni — it’s not that hard to go up when you’re beginning at the bottom), which means that we have an on-campus food pantry that is heavily utilized. Just before the break, I made an anonymous food donation (or, it was until now) to the food pantry from their Amazon wish list to help those students who wouldn’t have food over the winter break.

    Wow!!! Thank you. My coworker has nine children and their main source of transportation, the family van, just stopped working. Well, I had taken out a loan to do some landscape and home projects when God claimed a $1000 of mine. He put in my heart that I will give him this check. Unbeknownst to me, his wife went to church that morning and was praying for those who will act upon need instead of just saying “I’ll send a prayer”. It wasn’t so much a RAK but an order from above.     I have shared the Giveaway details on my Instagram stories and tagged you Kathy. You are a kind soul. My random act of kindness is very small. Just outside my house, a female stray dog gave birth to 4 puppies and she is very scary because she barks at passers by for no reason. Since the puppies came into this world, I have been making extra chappatis (round wheat bread) for her. The surprising thing is she doesn’t bark at me or my kids anymore. Infact she comes with me on my morning walks now. She lets me and my kids play and care for her puppies too. My younger one loves to give milk to the puppies. And it’s become a routine to give milk to the puppies and then leave for school.

    Im not entering in giveaway for simon says create event but would like to share my story.
    I saw granny siting by herself at restaurant ant she was counting coins so she can buy somthing for eat. I think she didnt had enough because she order just a tea. I went inside and went to waitress to ask granny what she want to eat that its alredy payed and then bring me her bill so I can pay it. I told her that I dont want any credits for this and she just say granny it was just random ack of kindness…
    Granny was looking around to see who payed but I went outside ant watch her thru window how happy she was. I know how it is to be hungry so I didn’t want granny go home hungry…
