I have been coloring everyday thus far in February, but I just discovered this 30 day challenge. I hope to keep it up! I’ve been making birthday cards and mainly Valentines and have 3 more to go! After that, I hope to continue work in a disc bound journal I’m creating. Creativity sometimes saves the day and color and coloring are a big part of it. Love the texture you created on this magical little house. Thanks Kathy, you are a great inspiration.
Kathy Racoosin says
Oh, Barbara, that is great news! I am so happy that you have been able to color every day so far, even if it was independently of this particular challenge. I hope you can link up your projects 🙂

Sheri Kempke says
Beautiful fair house Kathy! I haven’t started yet this month, as I just returned from a week at Disney World, I arrived just as Jennifer left there. I managed to bring home a cold, so that is not fun either. I do need some stress relief, as my Dad is now in hospice care, he has Alzheimer’s disease . We are praying he will soon be taken Home and end this awful disease. We are praying for a cure, as this disease is horrible.
Kathy Racoosin says
Thank you for your kind words, Sheri! I am so happy to hear about your magical vacation, but sorry to hear that you have a cold and especially the sad news about your father. Alzheimer’s is horrible for the person suffering from it and all those who care for that person. You are in my thoughts 🙂

Just…wow.
I’ve been following your blog for several years and watching your techniques, hoping to learn a few. This is, by far, the most amazing. You’ve captured detail, depth, texture, dimension and whimsy. Such inspiration. Thank you.
Kathy Racoosin says
Oh Mari, this is one of the sweetest comments ever! Your kindness makes me smile 🙂
Tracy Lustick says
You really made this image come to life and the rock work on the walls looks terrific !
Gab says
This is so adorable!! The stones, the lighting in the windows, the gorgeous flowers and the doorway … just so so sweet
Teresa Doyle says
Oh my goodness Kathy, this is FANTASTIC! The ‘stone work’ really looks amazing and so realistic. We have a beach nearby where there are 3 wonky cottages with painted stones and this is what this reminds me of. (You can Google them if you wish: Huntington Point – Land of the Fairy Cottages) They are pretty cool.
As for my weekend, we have been dealing with a bad flu but I managed to FINALLY start an art journal and it will be dedicated to the 30 day color challenge. I am going to use it for this purpose only until it is full, I am quite pleased with the first page.

Your amazing little house looks big enough for me to have a craft room in it! LOL When I used to sub in Head Start we had a plastic play house in the play ground. I was the only teacher who could go into the play house & stand up & have about half an inch before my head hit the ceiling. The kids loved it & then the teachers told me I couldn’t play with the kids anymore because they had to learn to play with each other. That’s what your house reminds me of. Do you know how cute of a she shed/craft room that would be? The inside of your windows are my favorite color in the whole wide world & do you know what I think the stones look like? Corn kernels! Sounds funny doesn’t it, but you look at it & tell me if you think that. I love it, corn & all! LOL
Lagene says
Such a sweet tiny house! I expect to see fairies step out!

Wow, wow, wow! I love all the little details in your tiny house. My mom used to say the proof is in the details, and you have proven that point. Wonderful job!
