The new beautiful background stamp I selected to use for my wall art is the “Gerbera Daisy Background” . Love how the stamp is great for a card or some framed art.
You can color this stamp simply by highlighting one or more flowers or go all out and color them all! It’s been awhile since I have picked up my Copic markers and I was excited to color this beautiful background!
I always have some frames on hand because I purchase them when they are 40% off. I have learned that it’s a big time saver to trace inside the matting so you know what areas to color or not to color lol. This is a good time to carefully clean the glass too.
Having the largest misti has been a game changer for me but, you don’t need it for this stamp. This is my new fav ink to stamp with for no line coloring.
Choosing ANY areas to highlight was easy. I colored plucked this and this copic marker to outline some of the daisies and I really like the color combo.
*color plucking is choosing colors at random that you normally don’t use without the stress if picking the “perfect” or the “right” color.
Once that was finished I decided to outline the little circles inside the daisies so they would pop and highlight some areas! I used a pencil on some and this fine tip sharpie and a 0.03 super fine tip marker. The 0.03 marker is what I can’t live without and recently I forgot to pack it and I felt lost! It’s serious lol.
Here is a close up before the glare of the glass. This stamp was so therapeutic to color.
Once I was finished I added some colored pencil detail to some of the flowers.
Here is a photo of my wall currently and I painted or colored all of these with the exception of the quotes. Some of my wall art will be gifts.
Here is a snap of all the markers I used. Thank you for your visit today and always! It warms my heart. Have fun hopping and have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Kathy

Oh how awesome Kathy! I watched Kristina’s video earlier, where she was inspired by you–and I was in one of your coloring classes sponsored by Waffleflower, a couple of years ago and have now “integrated” your awesome tips into my coloring world. If you don’t know, in medical terms, once a habit or behavior is “integrated” into your body, you no longer have to think about it or try to remember it, it becomes sort of automatic. It’s a good thing–It’s how we learn to walk and move. I’m still not flying yet, don’t know if that skill will ever be “integrated” but certain your lovely coloring tips have been! Thank you!
Sheri, this is one of the sweetest compliments I have ever received! Thank you so much 🙂
