Day 26. More Pencil Work and Tim H. Glass Mat Giveaway

Hello Friends, Happy Tuesday! I am super excited for this giveaway today. More on that at the bottom of my post.

Mushrooms! I love coloring mushrooms or anything really lol. REDlead stamps have a cool vibe … like a vintage vibe. These mushrooms I have been wanting to color since the last coloring challenge and finally inked them up. REDlead has some beautiful holiday stamps too but, I wanted to color this so that’s what I set out to do.

Before setting out to color an image with pencils I highly recommend you color with a light marker … any light color to add your first layer of color. My favorite color is E50 but, any light color will do.

Many of you have asked what my favorite pencil sharpener is and right now it’s this. Every single one I try never gets the tip sharp enough and it’s key to have that sharp tip! If you are curious how I pick my pencil colors I don’t think to hard what colors I will use.

    Hi! Thanks for the heads up on the sharpener. The one I use at home is electric, saves my hands for colouring, but a smaller one you recommend will be super for on the go. Wowza those mushrooms look tasty. Hope they are the right kind. xox

    Thank you for the introduction to your chosen sharpener, I’ve tried so many over the years but haven’t found one that measures up to the quality of one I had when at college. Will try this one, well will if Santa’s heard me reading the article hehehe.
    Back to hospital for another round of tests etc tomorrow, spent part of this week printing up some images to colour, got my clip board, pencils, sharpener, eraser all ready x Have a good week x

    I really struggle with colored pencils. I have a few prisma then I bought an inexpensive Arteza set. I can never keep the point sharp or I can’t get a smooth blend. Your artwork is amazing Kathy
