Day 30. Another $50 GIVEAWAY

Hello Friends, How are you? It’s day 30!!! Omg!! I can’t believe how these coloring challenges seem to go by so quickly. I had a blast viewing all your creativity every day and reading how making time for yourself has been a positive experience for you like it is for me :).  You all have been so kind and supportive of my 30 day coloring challenges and words can’t begin to express my gratitude!!! Thank you for playing along even if it was for one day or all 30 or if you were watching from the sidelines. Thank YOU! Also a big Congratulations to you for coloring more than you normally would! I am so proud of you all!!

This piece I have been working on since before the 30 day coloring challenge and throughout the challenge I have been adding to my art piece and fine tuning it.  Finally I finished it just in time for the last day.

Rainbow gnomes yes please! These adorable gnomes are from Honey Bee stamps … aren’t they to die for “Gnome Place Like Home“!

I had such fun inking them up with Gina’s ink and using the Mega Wreath builder to design this gnome rainbow wreath.

The paper I am using is this. If I know I will be painting a background that is always the first thing to do. Also note that some of the gnomes are not stamped that well but, in the end you don’t notice that. Your stamping doesn’t always have to be perfect. Painting the background I am using this.

I decided to start at the top of each image .. the hats. Adding grey marker first before the color that will give the rainbow clothes some depth.

Have you tried the Karin watercolor markers? I love them and now it’s a great time to test them, Simon Says Stamp is having a big sale and so is Honey Bee Stamps!

I used my white gel pen to add accents and a sharpie to add fringes to the girl gnomes skirts.

Glossy Accents were added to the gnomes noses and the pom pom’s on the hats.

This was my first and the 30 days flew by, I can’t wait for the next one. I only own a handful of stamps but I was able to challenge myself with different techniques for Coloring them and I was so pleased with the results. I could see improvements with every image I colored and felt stressful days just melt away.

    I used to have a thing for gnomes, but not so much now. Too bad, because these are particularly cute, and your coloring is still beyond amazing. It’s been a while since I visited, but I am so glad I did today. I literally just finished playing with my watercolor paint, trying something I have had rolling around my brain for a while!

I have been colouring each day (trying to get caught up to finish my Christmas cards) so I have not had time to comment and “play along” in other ways but the colouring time has been a God-send. Thank you for all of your great tips! I have learned so much from you. I love your tip today for coloring in with gray first. So many things to try!! Once I am done assembling my Christmas cards I am going to color using some of my stencils.
    My Christmas present this year is the complete set of Karin markers. It is hard to wait that long!!

    Oh my, I see everywhere Gnomes and they are all so cute and adorable.
    Yours are so great, using the Gina K wreath builder was a awesome idea.
    An other great idea was the use of gray under the rainbow colours, I never think of such things.

    Hi Kathy! What colorful GNOMES! I love the intensity of the color! These are watercolor markers, does that mean you colored them in as you would with any waterbased marker? This is so adorable! I think you should print one out larger and on a sturdier material–color them up–and hang them on your front door!
