Hello Friends, It’s Day 12. already! Wow! It’s also middle of the week yay. In case you missed my finished floral yesterday click here.
This beautiful floral image is from Janes Doodles. She has been making cards as long as I have and I have always loved her style from way back. It’s been rewarding to watch her small company grow especially since she’s so nice!
During the 30 Day Challenge I make an effort to use some of the supplies that I have on hand but, don’t reach for often. Such as the Opaque watercolor paints that I have stashed.
Guess what? Jane from Janes Doodles is offering this digial stamp FREE for you. Click here! Woo Hoo and a big thanks to Jane.
Yesterday I explained how I print the digital stamp and trace it onto some watercolor paper. I am not that familiar with this opaque watercolor paint and I should have started on a small flower not the biggest. If you look close you can see where the paint is thicker on some of the petals. I guess I didn’t water it down enough? hummm!
It’s such a beautiful image I hope I do it justice! Stay tuned! See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

I went to Jane’s site to thank her for the lovely image. It will be a great one to practice florals on. They are a colouring nightmare for me. Need much more practice. I have a travel kit of opaque watercolours that I struggle with. So hard to work with aren’t they?
I’ll be interested to see how you handle them. I could use tips!

I love that you post work at various stages of completion. It is so real compared to the image we get in our head when we watch edited process videos (which I still love!)

Oh my gosh, thank you for the amazing freebie! I hope I can do it justice when I color it. I might watercolor it like you did. As soon as I get my printer fixed I am going to print it & color it. I think flowers are one of my favorite things to color. I have Twinkling H20’s & I love to color with them. The problem is they need water which you can spill & it’s not always advantageous to take them with you because there is liquid involved. When I go to my mom’s therapy with her I bring my coloring but none of it requires water. I know if I brought my water colors I would spill something. At home is different. If I spill I have a lot of stuff to use to clean it up. I have nothing like that at mom’s therapy. I love what you did so far. I can’t wait to see it finished!
