Hello Friends, How are you? I am worried about everyone! You all, my family, friends, the world … you name it! Today today I took some action and did something to tamper my worries a little. Something to get a little zen in the climate of everything going on. I carved out a little space in our basement so that my husband and I can do a little yoga or meditation in the evenings. Mission accomplished and looking forward to using it now. This is a critical time to find what can lower your blood pressure and take you away from some of the worry if possible … even for a little bit. Coloring helps for sure but, I think we need more. Rather I need more … I don’t want to speak for you!
I am open for suggestions and would love to hear what you are doing.
I didn’t have a lot of time to color but, my share for today really illustrates what a line can do. To shape up the lines and outline the image you can see the difference in the photo. I used Chameleon fine tips markers. The stamp is from Miss Ink Stamps and it’s called, “Smokin’ caterpillars. I hope to finish tomorrow. I pray you have lots of small joys in your day. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend Instagram or FaceBook . Be sure to tag me and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.

A line certainly does make a difference! I should do yoga. Great idea!

The lines make all the difference! In Oregon all the pools and gyms were ordered to be closed yesterday, so I took a 30 minute walk around our 5 acre plot! It’s raini ng today, so I’ll be in my craft room more!

What an adorable caterpillar and the line definitely defines it and makes the color stand out more. I like to do Pilates which incorporates Yoga moves. We also walk our dogs up in the mountains. Very peaceful. And, of course, petting my dogs when I’m starting to feel anxious really helps a great deal! Hugs and love to everyone! Thanks for being there Kathy!

Hi, Kathy. When this nasty virus entered our world my stomach got all twisted up and then I realized that I was worrying about something over which I have no control overseas. But we do have control over it where we live by social distancing, washing, etc. On Sunday and Wednesday I’ll listen and watch on YouTube our church and a neighboring church their services. Everyday I do read about the coronavirus from The Washington Post that comes to my email box. But yesterday, Monday, reading the details of how this nasty virus mulitplies in a body woke me up in the middle of the night. So I got out of bed, took a sip of water, pace around a bit, then go lay down in bed and pray about this. Whenever this virus pops in my head any time of the day, I’ll pray about it, or for specific people. Almost daily I ride my exercise bike (I place a sturdy chair behind the bike to sit to pedal on so it’s easier on my knees) and watch YouTube, mostly about card making or crafting or read e-book. Love to do yoga and pilates and hoping to do it more often in a week than just once a week. This will help to balance my life. Listening to audio Bible in the morning then practicing my trumpet out of the Hymnal also balances my life. I think that it was about 14 days that I was able to participate in the coloring challenge but then our daughter and son-in-law needed our help to babysit while they readied up their house to sell, which now they’re not going to do because of our state’s order to stay home (Ohio). I’ll be participating in it this week because of two birthday cards I’ll be making for our grandchildren. Then later I’ll be making Easter cards. Making greeting cards for others helps me to be more happy regardless of what’s going on around me. Jennifer McGuire has posted a challenge to send encouraging cards to medical staff and others who are working in the midst of this virus so I hope to do this soon too. I’ve collected quite a few of encouraging sentiment stamp sets so it’s time to start using them for this event. I’ll be praying for you, Kathy, and your husband too.

I always smile when I open your email. Thanks for always sharing inspiration, Kathy. Right now, I am really practicing with watercolors. I made my first color chart with 12 1-pigment colors, and to see all of the colors I can make was so much fun! I loves making the graph, mixing the paints, all of it. I was lost in my own little world for about 3 hours. Other than time in my craft room, I’m sticking close to my family. My dear friends are only a text away, and wine is in my basement. Thanks again for all you do for this community, Kathy. You’re a true treasure. ❤️

The lines really do make such a difference in your amazing coloring piece! Thank you for sharing your before and after pics. We took drive today on the Blue Ridge Parkway and really saw that spring has sprung! The various tree and shrub blossoms made me happy for awhile and definitely relieved some stress to just be in the beautiful moment. Hugs!

I have to do this sometimes, specially with digi images as the outlines get lots with the coloring! It is amazing how it really does bring life to the image. No lone coloring can be fabulous, but a nice, bold outline definitely has its place!

What a difference line make, great to see Kathy.
I remain calm, it is not going well ( the beginning of a lung attack) and I cannot go amongst people, So glad I have a balcony, the sun is shining and I enjoy my balcony for half an hour every day.
I spent time in my craftroom, enjoying your lovely words and artwork and from some other great people, like Jeniffer and Krisina. Try to enjoy the little things and don’t watch or read the news every moment. Twice a day, morning and evening, is enough. Grateful that my hubby can do things for me, like groceries and that my daughter also is save at home. She is a highschool teacher so she is working from home. That’s it for me.
Thank you so much for sharing, happy colouring, stay safe and healthy and see you tomorrow.

I’ve done this before! I love my black glitter gel pen but I’m not a fan of just black. I think outlining stuff is very cool but I think it looks cooler with the glitter. I don’t really like black, especially for a card or coloring a page or making a magnet until I did something with my black glitter marker. I just loved how it looked so I use it to just add something. Plain black wouldn’t be as good, it has to have glitter in it. I really like how you did this card! Glad you are sharing your card making with us & letting us share our card making & coloring with you. I love you, Kathy!
