Hello Friends, I am back! It’s Day 26. and I hope today finds you healthy and getting used to this new normal. If you are an “essential” worker thank YOU!! Also thanks to our first responders , anyone in the front lines, service people ,people at the airlines, trash collectors, all of you that don’t have a choice and have to leave the house! All you moms or dads that were just thrown into teacher mode ….. wishing you the best of luck. I don’t envy you. To the parents …. have you hear that Audible has free books on tape for children?
On another note….
Last week I mentioned that a giveaway was coming. I feel a little funny about offering up my art but, I am thinking of it as an incentive for a donation. What gave me the idea was my twin sister and my niece. While I would work on a project they would ask to have the painting. I thought hummm … is it possible that someone other than family might want something too?
So I am offering any of these originals paintings. Winners will get to make a choice of what they want.
This painting is available to win too. Everything was made with love and joy.
Any of the coloring during this month is up for grabs as well. I just want to give choices to you all.
All the coloring I did this month so far is in both of these photos or you can scroll through my blog.
This is the big daddy original painting. This took maybe 20 ish hours? You can see more photos of the painting in this post.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
HOW MANY WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN: There will be five winners. (The first winner will get the first pick). A goodie bag will be included for each winner.
HOW DO I QUALIFY: Make a donation of ANY amount. Citi is matching donations ! Any amount can help and I mean ANY! If all you have is $5.00 it all adds up. Even $2.00 can make a difference especially with the donation match. The donation amount can be anonymous if that makes anyone feel better.
WHAT’S THE CHARITY: No Kid Hungry I CREATED A FUNDRAISING PAGE TO MAKE IT EASY IF THAT HELPS. NO PRESSURE!
No Kid Hungry says, “1 in 7 children in America faces hunger, all across the United States, in every community. It’s real. With your help, we can change it.” However, the need has changed because of the Covid-19 and they are even more desperate than before.
ANOTHER WAY TO QUALIFY: IF YOU SHARE MY GIVEAWAY LINK ON YOUR SOCAIL MEDIA CHANNELS YOU CAN ENTER THE GIVEAWAY AGAIN. You must leave a comment on my blog so I know that you did this . For Example you can say “Facebook” or “Twitter” or “My Blog” then I will know that is where you shared.
ONE EXCEPTION: If you are financially helping family or somebody else I can’t leave you out. Add your name in the blog comment area.
WINNERS: The winners will be randomly drawn from the donation page AND my blog comment area in case you shared the giveaway.
THE CONTEST ENDS March 30th. Winners will be announced a few days after that on my blog.
See you tomorrow and THANK YOU ALL. Hang in there we will get through this together. Hugs and prayers, Kathy

Love this! But is it only for the children in America or worldwide? Because in the refugee camps in Europe there are many hungry kids too. Just wondering.
Is the contest worldwide?
Never the less.. if not. On both.. i donate a little. IHelp my parents.. but $ 2.00 I can spare by eating self less!
Big hug

I think this is a wonderful idea. I love seeing all that the people are doing to support their communities. From crafter’s making cards and masks, to neighbors helping one another out. The power of the people is showing. Sharing the link as soon as I post. As an afternote, I’d love the artwork. Especially butterflies and elephants.

Oh well, I guess I missed out on this one! I am trying to catch up on e-mail’s & this was one. Darn it all because I would have loved to have said I had an original Kathy Racoosin on my walls! I’m caregiving my mom so I am not working. I hope I get one of the Presidents checks because I could sure use it. I even had one of your photos picked out & everything. Oh well, I will win something another time. I hear you did really well with this & I am so happy to hear that. Count me in as someone who would have supported you if I had been able to do it sooner.
