I was fortunate to find some time to sit, play & paint with this beautiful floral set called, “Flowers 4“. It was fun masking the flowers to a pattern that suited me. Minimal supplies for today’s card such as Gina’s Warm Glow ink, with watercolor paper and some Karin markers was all I needed. I am so grateful for coloring and the peace and sanity that it brings to me during this crazy time. I love hearing what it does for you too.
Toying of the idea to add a sentiment and decided that having some blank cards on hand is a bonus. Especially having some of the Sentiments strips it’s easy to pop on a sentiment to suit the occasion. There are different categories that are nice to have on hands such as Congratulations, Moms Days, Miss You, Love, Cheeky Love & Happy Hello.
The lazy way to watercolor and I believe it’s easier …. is to paint a wash to define the leaves and petals and such. This process is pretty quick, forgiving and easy. Once dry you can paint on some bold color, let go and have fun.
After this point you can watch my video so see how I paint the rest of my card panel. This is the watercolor media mat I am using and love.
The branches and the flowers have such a nice variety of shapes and sizes.

Per usual, your stuff is absolutely stunning. I think this might be my fave and has inspired me to get the Karin markers. I looked through about 8 blog posts and can’t seem to find a link in the supply list to the watercolor brushes you are using – the ones that look like silver fountain pens. I find that most of the time, the brush (and paper) make a world of difference. Please let me know which brushes you are using — and thank you. You are such an inspiration!
