This was started yesterday using Gina K. Designs “Friendship Flower“, “Peace & Joy” and Warm Glow amalgam ink. Since I haven’t been traveling I have had more than 10 minutes a day to color PLUS everything else is falling by the wayside lol.
Putting the Christmas stamp “Peace & Joy” to work for my condolence card. The “Friendship Flower” is a smaller stamp set that packs a punch for only $10.95 you can’t beat it. As flowers go it’s pretty simple to color with easy open petals.
The sentiment strips that I love so much also come in a “Reverse Sympathy” set perfect for a condolence card and a quick finish to a card.
Lots of green Karin watercolor markers and finishing things off with a few pencils. Dig in your stash and combine some stamps it’s so fun to create your own little art piece.
The paper is always the same Arches Cold Press.
Aftering inking the bird in warm glow I used the corner of my black amalgam ink pad to color the eye and a few other areas on the stamp before stamping the bird a second time. Then I painted some grey areas with a grey Karin marker.
I grabbed a metallic marker for the holly (a mistake because any color I added on top didn’t give me any highlights) Adding pencil when the holly was dry helped give me the contrast I was looking for. *please note after the photo was taken I sharpened both pencils lol.
If you look close I also enhanced the background with two blue pencils.
Enjoy your weekend and stay safe. Always a big thank YOU for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

Fantastic look. I always admire how best your masking on images is, I’m still working on mine. The flower is right up my street so I can practice my florals. Stay safe, healthy and happy colouring x
Thanks Andrea

This is SO beautiful! I’ve been playing along, but can’t seem to get things linked up beyond the first day or two. I’ve been posting in FB, and hash tagging you, so hopefully you are seeing them! Thanks for the incentive to color each day!
Thanks so much Patti

… I confess, I have finally coloured the background around a coloured image AND it as dark, no more 0000-000’s for me 🙂
Love it! Thanks so much

Absolutely gorgeous and thank you so much for sharing what paper you’ve used! I started coloring an image with pencils (trying something new) and got “stuck” … ugh… my Day 2 that I’ve been to embarrassed to share! #thetrashfactor LOL the struggle is real!
It’s all about practicing and having fun!
its stunning!
Thank you Fikreta. You are always so sweet.
DELIGHTFUL stamp and colour combo!
… sometimes I keep so focussed on the primary image I forget to add other elements or techniques, definitely wanting to LIFT my colouring creativity!
