This little sweetheart is from Stamping Bella is called, “Bundle Girl” and she was so much fun to color. The texture from the kraft paper (the tooth) is picked up by the sharp pencil tip when I skim the tip over the paper. Using Gina K. Designs Warm Glow ink again.
When I use pencils I always put a layer of marker first on my image. The image is colored on the packaging and I should have used it as a point of reference … See the pointer? The stem should be tucked under her arm and not sitting on top of her shirt. Adding a bow of twine distracts the eye.
Thankfully the twine is back in stock! Yay! I color the twine with a marker to match my card.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow and thank YOU for your visit. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. I will be announcing the winners tomorrow of the Copic multiliner giveaway.

Dear Kathy –
Thanks for the exemplar and for the very human admission of the way the stem of the snowdrop (flower) went awry. That’s a great way to show others how to fix a boo-boo. Thanks for your courage and honesty to help your learners and fans!! I appreciate your emails very much and wish you a terrific day!!

It happens to all of us right? Thanks for stopping by

I love coloring on Kraft! Thank you for helping with my color pencil dilemma! I guess I’ll need to start over on my image, and definitely lay down a layer of Copics first. Ugh…

Glad I could help. Have fun coloring.

She’s so sweet. Thank you for the twine tip, might save a few of my hiccups. Must admit Kathy I hadn’t noticed till you literally pointed it out, my eye naturally tucked it under her arm. Sort I missed your work for last post but unfortunately I’ll in bed & pain won over browsing posts. Stay safe and happy creating x

Wow!!! The bundle girl looks like she’s glowing. Your coloring is just amazing and soft looking on the kraft paper. The stamp is precious and oddly enough I call my cat “my bundle kitty.”

Love the colors you used, and such a cute image. You mentioned that you usually use a layer of marker under you colored pencil work. I don’t have Copic markers, will other markers such as Tombow markers work for putting a layer of marker down first?
Kathy Racoosin says
HI Angie, Good question .. The Tombow markers that I am familiar with are for watercoloring. However you could try a very light color and let it dry. Also you could try a light color Crayola marker or even a sharpie marker. Play around the best things are discovered that way 🙂

She looks so REAL and DIMENSIONAL! … I STILL haven’t tried colouring with pencils, my first goal is to add finishing touches to images coloured with Copics … the plan is to take baby steps 🙂
