Today I am sharing this easy watercolored ice cream cone. With Colorado Craft Company Big & Bold stamps it’s super fun and and pretty quick to watercolor because of the wide open areas on the image.

If you skip your brush over the paper with the water … be sure to leave a few areas without the water. When you drop in the color and you will have easy highlights. (When you drop the color in the areas without the water the color will go around the dry spots. That’s how the white highlight areas were created on my paper).

This sweet treat will be turned into a shaped card. Such fun to get a big ice cream cone in the mail. Hummm maybe I will enclose a gift card to an ice cream shop inside.

*My cones were fussy cut but, the new die cuts for these stamps will be available soon.

    ice cream! My dad LOVES ice cream…and loves to make it home made the old fashioned way. When we were kids, we used to sit on top of the ice cream maker to hold it in place & he would crank away…YUM! I tried your 30 day marker challenge once before but misunderstood…when I missed a day, I stopped. Then someone told me I could keep going! LOL This will be my first month of coloring something every single day! YEAH!

    Ice cream! How beautiful! (If we write more than the basic phrase, are we still entered to win? lol) I have been LOVING your images from CCC and this one is no exception. I love how the corners and edges on the ‘sweet spot’ portion makes this look like a hard scoop! I didn’t realize how soft edges would make it look like soft serve until I saw this! 🙂

    Ice Cream! A favorite way we end our weekend during the summer is a trip to our local ice cream shop to get a twist (or half-n-half-part vanilla and part chocolate soft serve) cone. Within my own state, some of call it half-n-half and others call it a twist. Thanks for the opportunity to win!!
