Hello Friends! Welcome to Day 2. OMG you all are making me giddy with your coloring, inspiration and participation. THANK YOU!! Many of you have said you have been on the side lines and decided to jump in this time. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me to hear this! A big woo hoo from this gal!
You might notice that some beautiful ladies were added to the logo thanks to Sandy Boone from Three Room Studio. She has a digital download of the ladies in a different configuration for FREE!
Boy oh boy this frog sure has a little bit of a story!! About a month ago I painted the background and part of the frog. I packed it in my car and it disappeared and I was like how did that happen. Ended up finding it in the corner of my back seat with some rotten apples I forgot about … yeah gross! The paper absorbed the smell and I had to put dryer sheets on the painting pressed into a book to get the smell out!
Just so you know I copied this from from Rachel Kozlowski with her permission. She has an awesome Etsy shop here and I highly recommend her checking out Rachel’s Instagram. West Elm sells her plates and I collect them when I can get my hands on some of them.
The frog on the right is how I left it a month ago. The frog on the left is Miss Frog all finished! Whew! So happy to complete her & I am happy how she turned out especially since Rachel’s illustrations make me so happy.
No enhancements with pencil this time but, I did add some eyelash lines with a black marker. To create the background I traced a plate with a pencil to draw the circle. The paints I used were Daniel Smith but, instead of purchasing lots of tubes of paint I bought one of Lydia’s paint splits. The orange part of the background Karin markers were used.
See you tomorrow and thank YOU for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

Fantastic to have you back brightening my days again, meant to say hi yesterday but day flew by & it was today before I knew it. Thank you to Sandy, these ladies will most most definetly be downloaded, excellent. Your frog & Rachel’s plate frogs are awesome, they have such a personality & fab colours to both. Fancy leaving your beautiful colouring to smell like rotten apples lol but great tip on removing the smells. Stay safe, healthy and happy colouring xxx

I buy splits from Lydia Fiedler who creates and sells the splits. There is a Facebook group called Daniel Smith Watercolor split group. You can join that and see what options there are.
