Day 9. NEW Copic refills & Giveaway

Hello Friends! Welcome to Day 9. How are you doing? I hope you are good and even better since the weekend is right around the corner. Talk about a heat wave my Aunt lives in AZ and she said it’s supposed to be 118 this weekend. OMG!

I am back and super exited to share the new Copic Refills with you today plus Four Copic Marker Giveaways and some coloring!

Last weekend I had such a great time stamping  these paper dolls from REDlead Art + Craft.

Usually I never have the chance to pre-stamp any images so I welcomed having these from my stamping session on the weekend. I will be sending these to a few “littles” (small children) to color. Each package will include ribbons, buttons, pom poms and a few other things. Such FUN to put together.

Finally I had time to sit and color the paper doll with my Copic markers. Who doesn’t love paper dolls?

I have always loved anything like this! The paper doll set comes with a handy stand that I painted white.Once I was finished coloring her with my markers I added some light shading with a few pencils.

It’s pretty dang cool to hold some of the new Copic marker refills in my hands. Not only are they beautiful with colorful caps, more functional and less expensive. They do have less ink than the older refills that will be discontinued but, I think that is a good thing.

I found it easier to refill my markers and I am excited to try some techniques with them.  Check out this  video from the manufacture.

    I just got some copics so I’m absorbing all the techniques, and appreciate all the prettiness. I’m glad to hear the refills are better and cheaper. Nothing about a copic is cheap.

    Hello Kathy! Thanks for sharing the info about the new Copic refills – I’m not been shopping for them since pre-covid! Just love your paper dolls – so cute and beautifully colored! Don’t they just make you want to change their outfits and put them in little scenes with each other like when we were kids?!

    Hello again, went back to look at the paper dolls, wish they had die cuts too. I remember playing with paperdolls, and coloring them now would be an adult way to play with them. I also am in AZ but in the higher elevation where we are cooler by 20 degrees so we do feel some of those heat as well.

    Absolutely delighted to see the new reinkers – I am so happy that they’re smaller and thus cheaper, as that’s ideal for me – I don’t use copics enough to need such huge reinkers, but I use them enough to need reinkers in lots of colours LOL. Plus – what a bonus – they truly are super pretty looking!

    Hello sweet lady with the generous heart… I have always loved paper dolls. I remember cutting the Betsy McCall paper dolls out of a magazine, probably age 7,8,&9. Very carefully not cutting on the black lines. Today that tradition continues. I have about 25 sets of paper dolls that have never, and never will be cut out. I take them out now and again and remember how much I loved them as a child. I hope I can get these for my granddaughters to have. Love all your coloring and little touches of pencil. So adorable and thanks for sharing this.

    Oh my gosh, I just love those paper dolls Kathy. As a child, I spent hours and hours drawing clothes for paper dolls and coloring them in, as did my daughter after me. Now my own granddaughters are playing with some of the same paper dolls, that I kept all these years.
