Happy Birthday to Mama Elephant & Giveaway

Welcome to a very special Mama Elephant Stampeded blog hop! This month at the Mama Elephant blog is a big party!! ME is celebrating 8 years with a fantastic new holiday release along with their amazing friends and awesome design team!

Here is today’s card without all the stuff. I spent a ton of time coloring these scrumptious ginger bread peeps but, they can be colored quick and easily because the stamps speak for themselves.

When I am using colored pencils I always start with a first  layer of color with my markers. Don’t these gingerbread people  make you smile or make you hungry!?

Strawberry milk is more colorful than plain milk so I went with that plus more fun to color.

Can you tell how much I enjoyed coloring this awesome stamp set? LOVE it!

Often I wish for more coloring time and I didn’t have more time to make another card but, I just had to ink up and play with the stamps for a future coloring date with myself.

The Santa in the Christmas tree and peeking through the window …. I was able to make use of part of the images by stamping them on the edge of my card panel and trimming them off. See below for the final stamping.

Honestly I can’t convey how much fun it is to mix and match the sets in this release. One of my favorite things is to create little scenes like these. So.much.fun and it’s takes me away from all that is happening.

    Darling plate of gingerbread men cookies! Great cards ready to color. I am in southern Oregon. We had a firestorm on Tuesday Sept 8 which burned 600 homes and numerous businesses and pretty much distroyed Talent and Phoenix Oregon which are 15 miles south of my house in the country. My most immediate concern is another fire called the Obenchain Road Fire just north of Eagle Point Oregon. I am physically about 5 miles west of the evacuation border on the western side of this fire. We have been blessed for 2 days with very lot winds. They had predicted high wind storms both afternoons, but God kept them back and the fire didn’t spread near a s much in those 2 days. Again today they are predicting high winds this afternoon. We are just praying for calm to aid the firefighters. We need prayers.

Cali and all those effected have been in my daily prayers, Some of our Michigan sunsets have been more colorful from your smoke, fire, and loss. Im so sad for you all.. I will think and pray for you now Lagene. (((Hugs))).

    Oh Kathy these are adorable, to answer your question they make you hungry whilst happily colouring & creating them a little story as to why they are there. must admit from this reveal its been difficult to decide where to invest first as the stamps are so versatile as you showed. Think I will start with those children & their gifts, then Santa, then gingerbread people & on. Stay healthy and happy colouring xxx

    Your card is ADORABLE! Yes, those gingerbread men do make me hungry! LOL You’ve done SUCH A MARVELOUS JOB on them! The texture of your pencils just add to the yumminess of them! I also LOVE the new set with the bunnies, what made me start buying MaMa Elephant to begin with! AND the little Santa’s!!!     You did really great on the coloring it doesn’t look like you used colored pencils it’s so easy to make scenes cards with all of Mama Elephant stamp sets they are all so versatile and could be used with other sets that they have that’s why I really like all of them

    I appreciate your tips and have begun to use my alcohol markers more as a base and detail with pencils. The texture on the gingerbread gives them great dimension.

    Oh my gosh, these are the cutest stamps ever! I love them & I love how you colored them! I need this stamp set! I have some foam ginger bread people that would look cool with these cute cookie people so I might have to get these. I will also do the blog hop because I love blog hops.
