Hello Friends! How are you? I can’t believe it’s Day 11. already!! Since this Coloring Challenge was sooo short I will be having another one in January. Much sooner than normal and I would love to hear how the shorter duration is working for you.
If you have questions about The Coloring Challenge you can refer to this blog post.
Today I am using a beautiful floral from the Tonic Studio stamp of the month club. It’s illustrated by Maria Willis. Check out her blog to see the latest release and her gorgeous coloring!
Just a few pencils, a few markers and lots of time. I have been working on this for days . When my watercoloring was drying I would work on this and then some.
I have to be honest this background took a long time but, I stuck with it and I was curious how it would turn out in the end. First I colored the background with a marker, added some Copic blending solution with a rag and then added dots and shading with a few pencils. That’s it in a nut shell.
Thank YOU all for your enthusiasm, coloring and playing along with the coloring challenge. Please stay hopeful and do what brings you joy. Many Hugs & Prayers, Kathy

The shorter version is fine but I didn’t participate every day because of the season which has been very busy for our family. This challenge reminds me of why I am in card making & encourages me to color

It is a busy time for sure. That’s the beauty! Jump in as you can or not as all – -and come next time!

I recently saw some of Maria’s work and it is fabulous… great colors and it definitely was worth the work! I like the length of this mini version. Things are pretty hectic this time of year. I love to sit with a cup of coffee and watch what you’re working on. Thanks for this and I look forward to January!

Gorgeous piece, the background is a stunner on its own, must remember to try the dot technique myself on a piece soon.
Have really enjoyed the challenge, short or long, haven’t had chance to do much more than read your posts with a few comments as making cards I’ve been asked to do but have at least read your daily inspiration. Thank you so much for taking time to run these challenges when you are so busy. Stay safe as you can, be happy & healthy x
