Helllllooooo Friends, How have you been? The weather has been so crazy and I hope this blog post finds you safe, dry, healthy and crafting. (Insert prayer hands) Here is a good source of info if you want to help our Texas friends in some way.
If you are wondering how I have been and my apologies for being M.I.A.! Things are status quo and I am ready to dive in and announce a new coloring challenge soon. The hold up is my logo! I am having My Coloring Challenge logo updated and waiting to see how it’s going to look.
I am popping in today to say a big Congratulations to Rabbit Hole Designs for their exciting new launch of sweetness, cuteness and super fun images! Bonus I find the illustrations pretty easy to color. Win win!
If The Rabbit Hole Designs is new company to you below is a little info about them in their words.
“We are a small company from Southern California that started in 2018 by real life crafty friends Heather Ferguson and MaryAnn Samuelson. We wanted to bring to the crafting community products that are sassy, quirky, and fun without being offensive. All of our stamps, dies, stencils, & paper are made in the USA by one of the industry’s leading manufacture using only the highest quality materials
Why the name The Rabbit Hole Designs?:
Have you ever found yourself browsing the internet, clicking on a page, then click a link on that page, then click a link on the next page, which gives you the idea to search for something else and this process repeats until you look up and realize you’ve been sitting for hours clicking links? Well, my friend, you’ve just fallen down the rabbit hole. Yes, both of us have been known to fall down the rabbit hole often, hence the name. You can take comfort in knowing you will never fall alone, someone will always be with you.”
The Rabbit Hole Designs is also announcing their new in-house artist is named Tatsiana. They found her because she is a watercolorist often watercoloring her designs to be used in textiles.
To start at the beginning of the hop go to The Rabbit Hole Designs blog. If you are coming from Joy Wilson ‘s blog you are in the right place.
If you know me… you might be surprised to see me using patterned paper!! Struggling with card designs is a constant thing for me. For these cards I pulled out Gina’s Master Layouts 3 and the die cuts literally helped me create these card designs. I was determined to use the new beautiful 6×6 paper pads from Rabbit Hole Designs.
I can’t even think how long it’s been since I have done some paper piecing. Such fun and super easy to color just a wee bit of bunny. This stamp set is called, “Adventure Awaits”! Yes please!! I am so looking forward to some adventures! Light is at the end of the tunnel thankfully!
This is another sweet lil’ bunny from the “Adventure Awaits” stamp set. Like … how adorable! All of the beautiful papers that I am using are from the new 6×6 paper pad called, “Spring Floral”.
Have you ever been up in a hot air balloon? We have many years ago and it was pretty memorable. With that said I will never do it again because now I realize how incredibly dangerous it can be. Nonetheless you can see why I gravitated towards this stamp set especially since I love flowers! This set is called, “Come Fly with Me”. Swoon!
“Spring Delivery” screams spring to me and I love this stamp set too. I tilted the scooter up as if the bunny is popping a wheelie!
This innocent bunny is from “Clover Bunny” and it doesn’t have to be just for St. Patrick’s Day. All of these stamps are pretty simple to paper piece if coloring isn’t your thing.
Four of the five images were painted with watercolors (Daniel Smith) and once dry I added colored pencil to enhance my coloring. Most of you already know that I cover this extensively in this class with OCC.
This particular bunny was going to be cut out so I put down a first layer of color with my Copic markers. Using my pencils I added color to the nook & crannies.
On another note the Pear Blossom Press Marker bags are back in stock and bundle pricing is available. (I have heard so many times that one is purchased and then go back and buy more.) With that said I recommend starting with a three or six pack.
Beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Jody
