Hello Friends, Happy Weekend!! With this crazy weather and everything in the news I hope everyone is safe and sound.
Today I am popping in for another Simon Says Stamp blog hop. If you missed the new goodies that came out Thursday night … I think you will love this collection called, ” All The Feels” and I am feeling it! I created two cards for the hop and will be sharing more in the next few weeks.
ALSO THE NEXT COLORING CHALLENGE WILL BE APRIL 15TH.
To start at the beginning of the hop go to the Simon Says Stamp blog. If you are coming from the talented Bibi Cameron’s blog you are in the right place. Today is the second day of the Simon Blog hop. Check out Friday’s hop here.
*Did you notice that if you shop during the hop there is a FREE “Love Your Guts” die set with a purchase of $25.00 or more!! USE CODE LYGT42 . You can check out the entire new release here.
Simon Says Stamp added a few wood block stamps to this collection and they had me at butterfly! Do you still enjoy fussy cutting? I do and these beautiful butterflies were easy to cut out.
Supplies used to create this card are “Outline Butterfly“, “Spring Flowers” and “Inside Family Messages“.
On another note do you clean your palettes? I like to leave my palettes with any remaining paint so the next time I paint I”ll add a little water and all set to go.
“Spring Flowers” the new and elegant background stamp was inked up with Warm Glow. Once dry a very light wash was painted on the background from my “old” paint water. I was pleasantly surprised how fast I accomplished this task.
If you want to save a little bit of time you can pencil in where you will be placing your butterflies and not paint that area. Honestly tho since the color was so light it was quick. The sentiment is from “Inside Family Messages” with all the feels. Thank YOU Simon Says Stamp!
Glossy accents were added to the centers of the butterflies and white dots with this pen to add detail on the sweet creatures.
For my second card I went for a more graphic look and it was super fun to step out of my usual comfort zone. Using the “XL Greetings 2” and the beautiful new “Painted Flowers Wreath” stencil I was set!
Place the stencil down on your watercolor paper. Use a brush or a dauber to ink up the stencil. I choose Warm Glow because it’s the perfect color in my book and you can use it for alcohol markers or watercoloring.
Once the ink is dry you are ready to start watercoloring “The Painted Flowers“. If you leave a sweet spot when painting the warm glow shows though and it appears that you used more colors than you did.
To finish my card I die cut the “XL Greetings 2” to pop and place the front of my card. Before placing the sentiment I cut some scrap ribbon to place behind the sentiment for an extra pop of texture.
GIVEAWAY!! Simon Says Stamp is giving away $25.00 to every single stop in the hop. All you need to do is comment on each designers blog, name automatically qualifies for the giveaway. The more you comment the greater the chances of winning. Good luck! (Winners will be announced on the Simon blog March 31st so please make a note to check.)
Next on the hop is Dilay Nacar ‘s beautiful blog. Thank YOU for your visit it’s always always appreciated. Have a good weekend! Hugs, Kathy

SSS release of All the feels has been a beautiful and fun nod to the beauty of spring. The butterfly stamp is stunning on this card! I’ve just started water colors and appreciate each and every one each of your tips. Had to laugh, I thought I was just cheap letting my color dot dry to use later, tee hee. But I do think that may be the only thing I can do just like you, tee hee. The wreath was beautifully split like that… kind of Scandinavian I thought. Gorgeous! Everything is beautiful and I so enjoy watching you.
