Hello Friends, Happy weekend to you! Gosh I can’t believe it’s Day 3. already!! I feel like I am behind on seeing what you are coloring but, everything I have seen I am so inspired …. always so inspired and grateful!!
You guys know I love to make bigger pieces it’s also mindless not having to think what to stamp and easier to get lost in this kinda thing. I am using the new Simon Says Stamp LARGE 6×9 stencil called, “I Like Small Dots” perfect name in my book! When this stencil was released I was so thrilled.
My paper pad is Arches cold press 19×12 paper pad. I am color plucking the Distress Oxides and not putting a lot of thought into my color choices but, going with what feels good. Remember this is supposed to be relaxing. When you do this I suggest placing the stencil in the center of the paper so you have a center point. Mine isn’t centered so I decided to paint it differently. Once you have your center you can lift the dot stencil and place it as needed to extend your design.
Use a pencil to trace the dot stencil on your paper pad. Easy peasy!
The dots are randomly painted on my paper. To apply my paint I wet a dot first but, what I did was skip the brush around in a circle or scribble the brush in the circle. Skipping the brush you miss areas with your water so small areas stay dry. When you drop the paint in the dry areas stay white. When painting a repetitive design skipping the brush you get more interest or texture on your painting.
I am looking forward to finishing this and I can’t wait to see what you are working on this weekend. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Kathy
There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend FaceBook or Instagram. On Instagram it’s about community, connecting & a great place to share what you are coloring. Tag me,Kathy and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Children #thedailymarker30daykids. The 3rd way is share what you are coloring is to link up to my blog . It will always be on the first day …. DAY 1.
P. S. My class with Online Class with Online Card Classes has a ton of videos and really explains my cheats and coloring hacks. It’s called The Coloring Challenge Road Trip Online Edition ….. it’s only $20.00 and has over 12 videos, PDF’s with written instructions etc. Click here to see more details.

I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do with this.
Since you use the Arches paper, what do you do with the black paper that is in the pads? Is there something creative that people do with it?
