Helllloooo Friends, How is it going? I hope you had a lovely weekend with lots of creative time.
Welcome to Day 5! With that said don’t feel like you have to count the days … just coloring is enough!
This sweet “Hopeful Girl” from Waffle Flower was colored over the course of several days and I finally was able to finish her up. Always feels so satisfying to complete a project! Here is the die cut. Hopeful Girl is such a beautiful and graceful stamp set. A wonderful way to send a prayer or to comfort to someone.
I know seeing my process photos is helpful sometimes. The finished hair you barely see the blue but, I love the subtleties of the blue highlights.
The crown if the head I always make the darkest color and I pick a few random areas around the head on the hair to darken. Adding some strands with a super dark colored pencil is always the easiest way to finish hair but, it’s essential that the pencil be super duper sharp.
The flowers popped on my card panel with some blue foam because I ran out of my extra think black foam. I am glad to see it’s back in stock. The background was created with scrap of papers glued together.
Hoping Monday is off to a good start. See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend FaceBook or Instagram. On Instagram it’s about community, connecting & a great place to share what you are coloring. Tag me,Kathy and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Children #thedailymarker30daykids. The 3rd way is share what you are coloring is to link up to my blog . It will always be on the first day …. DAY 1.
P. S.S. My class with Online Class with Online Card Classes has a ton of videos and really explains my cheats and coloring hacks. It’s called The Coloring Challenge Road Trip Online Edition ….. it’s only $20.00 and has over 12 videos, PDF’s with written instructions etc. Click here to see more details.

How amazing! What a beautiful stamp image, and of course the same goes for your painting. If I had ever tried blue highlights I probably would have tried the brown first and then the blue LOL. Thank you for taking and sharing your process photos along the way; they are very helpful.

Love this card! Was the entire card done with colored pencils or do you do an initial base with another medium? I’m definitely going to try your tips!

Hi Lynnell, My base was watercolors. I have a video I am working on for tomorrow and a much larger scale with hair! Thank YOU 🙂
