Hello Friends, T.G.I.F right 🙂 It’s aways great when the weekend rolls around and I’m hoping we get some good coloring time.
Last week I mentioned that I went to a retreat in Ohio so I was able to color two projects ahead of time. I know that’s a little cheating but, thank goodness because I have a hop on Sunday and I have to work ahead for that…. and working ahead during the challenge is very challenging for me.
Love the size of this beautiful stamp from Concord & 9th called, “Hello Lovely” and it’s oh so lovely. I can think of so many different ways to color this baby. I have been wanting to order this set of 96 Tombow markers and I finally bit the bullet. (Tombow markers have a dual tip and are great for watercoloring) This image was watercolored with the markers and it was very relaxing and fun. On one end of the marker is a small tip … great for dot action. In the center of the flower I added white dots and black on the top of the white. (you can also order them in a 10 pack)
** I will be using the Tombow’s next week and will have a video for you**
Have a wonderful day and see you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Stunning! This is what I’m talking about–I want to know how you do all that lovely shading with watercolor markers. Thank you for covering so many different ways to color. I ended up with a really ugly color last night trying to combine some Pentel metallic pens. Let’s just say I learned something, which is what it’s all about. 😉 I will be doing my best to make it into something a little less ugly. I keep wondering what you’ll do to dazzle us next. You haven’t disappointed yet!
Kathy Racoosin says
Awww thanks. We can all learn from our mistakes.:)

OH this is another stunning flower. I love the added details. I noticed the other night as I was coloring.. what would Kathy do?? I am still kinda scared on what to do but seeing your projects each day gives me more ideas and I just need to trust myself to let go and do. I totally enjoy the month long color challenge.
Milka says
WoooW!!! This is GORGEOUS, Kathy! Love it very much! :o) xx
Gail Plaskiewicz says
Oh my gosh, I love this stamp and you’re coloring. I realize you could color this flower any color you wanted and each card would be different. That’s what I like about stamps like this. You can get so creative with them and that’s what I like. I would even add some glitter! Hey, I think I will invent that. Flowers that grow that already have glitter on them. Would that be cool? I really wish I was that creative and could invent real flowers with glitter. Can you tell I love sparkles?
My mother would love this as a birthday card for some of her friends. Can you believe my mom still buys cards at the store when she has a daughter who creates cards? Do you know why? She looks at the sentiment first before the front of the card, then when she likes what the inside says she looks at the front. Sometimes she buys the card for the sentiment and not the front. That’s why I like to buy sentiments that aren’t just Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. Then my mom will buy cards from me! When I used to do crafts fairs before I became a caregiver, I sold greeting cards among other things so now when I do a card for my mom’s friends birthday, she pays me. I give her the family discount. LOL
This is one beautiful card that you did. Keep up the good work.

This is incredibly beautiful. The coloring, shading, white and black accents–everything–is perfection.
