Hello Friends, Oh my it’s Day 15. and I planned a more informative post plus a giveaway but, that will have to wait a day or two. Sorry! I am working on a video and it’s taking some time.
My video for Saturday will be with this awesome stamp called, “Kind Soul” from W-Plus9 .. so for today’s post I sharpened my pencils and squeezed in a little time for me. Any soft ink works in my opinion but, today I choose this.
Here is a super quick video of a tiny bit of my coloring that I posted on IG. (I didn’t have luck loading it here.)
Please stay tuned …. and see you tomorrow and please don’t forget I am always grateful for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

Such beautiful colors! Can’t wait to see more!

Looks VERY promising, as does the short video. I’m so happy you’re doing a lot with pencils. I’m probably going to be spending most of my 30 days with pencils trying to get something I’ll be able to truly say about, “you’ve come a long way, baby.” 😉 You make we want to keep working at it.
Kathy Racoosin says
“You go baby.” Love your determination. 🙂
fiki says
oh this is so nice!
off to see on IG!
thank you for all inspiration!
you are amazing!

Christine Levison says
Hi Kathy… this looks fabulous and I’m just about to go to IG to see the video!
So sorry I’ve not been around for a couple of days… I have been colouring (promise!), but am not able to share yet.. then if I feel pressured (not by you I hasten to add!), to colour more… I totally rebel… and end up hating what I do. On those days, it’s best for me to stand back. I am totally in awe of you keeping up with all you do!!
Big hugs
Christine x

Relax. Give yourself a break. This for fun and practice. Learning from your mistakes is the silver lining. 🙂

Ha! I was thinking my colored pencils weren’t getting live and pulled them out this morning. Look forward to seeing this beautiful piece completed. I continue to appreciate the time, enthusiasm and talent that you invest in this challenge. Blessings!
Kathy Racoosin says
Blessings to you Irene. Thank you 🙂

Very pretty! I am thinking that I might have to dig out my colored pencils and give my gel pens a rest IF I can pull myself away from them! Right now I am just a little obsessed with gel pens! LOL
Can’t wait to see the rest of these lovely flowers! TFS!
Kathy Racoosin says
Use what you enjoy. 🙂

First of all AMAZING colouring as always!
Second, I have posted the comment below on Instagram and decided to post it here too!
I can’t stop thanking you in my heart. I joined the challenge for fun, not for prizes or recognitions! This community you built, the people in it are all so kind and encouraging, just like you! Yours and theirs comments keep me going although some days are just really hard to find time! Both you and your 30day challenge community are wonderful and beautiful inside and outside! It has been super fun to meet all these amazing people here and thank you so much for organizing this XOXO
Kathy Racoosin says
You made my day. I keep doing these challenges because of our community. You all inspire me. We spread kindness around the world. Join in when you can. Life has a way of getting in the way and it’s all okay. 🙂

I’m wondering if my Prismacolours are antique. Is it possible for coloured pencils to dry up? Mine are really hard. I love seeing how much colour you lay down with yours. Hubby bought them at a shop that has since closed so they might have been old stock.
Kathy Racoosin says
I wouldn’t think pencils would dry out. I would resharpen them to remove anything built up on the point. This is a gut solution not based on experience or research. Go for it and see what happens and remember light hand an slowly build up layers. Have fun! 🙂

Beautiful start here!! Glad you found some time for you!!!
Becky Green says
BEAUTIFUL, KATHY!!! I look forward to your video when you can get it to work. Technology STINKS sometimes! LOL “Kind Soul” is one of the floral stamps I DEFINITELY WANT!!! I’ve been seeing it around….. 😉 IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL & I LOOOOVE that it is a large stamp!
Kathy Racoosin says
Large stamps are fabulous to practice all types of mediums. 🙂
Edna Burgess says
No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get only about 1 minutes of todays video. Can you fix it? Would like to see all of it. Looks interesting. Thanks. Edna
Kathy Racoosin says
Hi Edna, You are not missing anything it’s only a minute … eek sorry I am working on a much longer video for Saturday. Stay tuned 🙂
Nora says
Off to IG to take a look at the video. I like using pencils but mine NEVER look like what yours come out to be. Perhaps it is the lack of patience I have. I want it done yesterday so I can make it into a card. Hmm, isn’t coloring supposed to be relaxing?
Kathy Racoosin says
Yes coloring should be relaxing. Pencils are more time consuming then other mediums. If they’re testing your patience try another medium. Do what makes you happy. 🙂

KT Fit Kitty says
I’m a day behind in commenting so I’ve just seen the finished card – absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for the pencil inspiration!
Aileen says
I have coloursoft pencils that I like useing but I really struggle to get a nice sharp tip like you have and I think they must have been dropped at some stage as a few of the colours break everytime I sharpen. I long to try Primacolor or Polychrome but with the Ausssie dollar so low it is a dream I will just hold onto. The never ending wants of crafting, the sta of your flowers look stunning and ended up just perfect.
Kathy Racoosin says
Maybe try a different sharpener? How this might help. 🙂
Kathy Racoosin says
OOps, I meant hope.
Kerry says
That quick coloring video was such a tease! I would love to watch that whole stamp come together THAT CLOSE UP was awesome. Thank you
